Ooh, I had that happen to me 7th grade. We were divided up into sections, where everyone in the same section has the same english, social studies, math, and science teachers and I was the only one out of my best friends in a different section. <_<

And now for my contribution...

Gloat: It's nice and cool outside, and my roommates left for the weekend.

Gloat: Fancy dress party was a success, I made a good Blues Brother, minus a brother. Had a nice chat with my friend, hehe, those four and a half hours passed quickly once I got into the spirit of things.

Gloat: Seeing Snakes on a Plane tomorrow.

Cry: English coursework to finish, I'm on page eight and have loads left to go. Seems to be so much to write about! School starts on Tuesday, so I'll have Tuesday night to finish it at least, because I dunno when my first English lesson is. Also got some science to finish up, I'll do that tomorrow evening.

Gloat: Finally getting to see Dead Man's Chest in two days! been waiting for it for soooo long. :D

Cry?: My days seem to be getting... well, not shorter, but definitely weirder, due to the fact that I keep going to bed at 6AM and getting out of bed as late as 3.30PM. I really need to get my biorhythm back to normal before school starts, whenever that may be...

Cry: Still haven't decided what I'm gonna do this year. I'm definitely going to University, but I don't know what yet. Probably literature or philosophy.

Cry: I worked my butt off for 3 weeks every day, and now I get to spend most of it on my own college money, because I don't get a scholarship anymore. (This is thethird time I'm starting Uni - first time I quit myself after 2 years because I decided it wasn't my thing, despite good grades, and last year I didn't manage to pass)

Cry: I have the same lunch period as all the freshmen and barely any of my friends.
Gloat: I have the same lunch period as all the freshmen.
Cry: They outnumber me.
Gloat: Oh, well, at least I can be their friend.

Cry: I'm scared to drive anywhere up here now because apparently the police give you tickets for anything. :(

Ugh, people here drive like maniacs, I wish they would give more tickets >< Just don't speed, wear your seatbelt, use your turn signal, and be nice :D

Austin was hard to drive in though, my aunt and I got honked at when we didn't speed up / slow down / move over to allow the car in when we were trying to figure out where we were by accident =(

Well, I can handle the rude people down there, my thing is that the freeway system in Austin is severely messed up (I would say something else, but it's a little inappropriate for here). Up here in DFW, they have a nice freeway system - two loops around Dallas and Fort Worth, a few freeways to connect the two. In Austin it's like they randomly placed freeways everywhere, and the only freeway that's all freeway (meaning it doesn't abruptly end) is I-35, which is really pathetic.

Okay, now that my rant's over... :P

:D I don't have any more classes today.

:( The thermostat for the A/C here in my room is messed up - it's all the way up to 95 degrees (Fahrenheit) and it's freezing. <_<

:D First day back at school and it was great.

:( The place won't hire me because they have all the staff they need right now.

Gloat: I got asked out :D

Cry: He's a senior and I'm a freshman so my parents are all like "HELL NO" :P

Gloat: First week of school has been easy with no homework so far :)

That makes him what? 2 years older then you? I don't see how your parents get to choose who you see and who you date. Of course it depends on parents and where you live but its a strange concept for me because over here girls and guys date without really asking parents. Its their lives and if they want to date they know its their right. I'm just really unfamiliar with the concept of parents having a say on dating in general. esspecially if they have never even met the person.

Three years.

And they're very, very, very overprotective.

Parents should have some say as to who you're dating, not entirely though. Saying they have no "say" in it is ridiculous is because they're your parents, and they only want what's best for you.

If they meet your potential date, and they disapprove, than they should provide proper reasons but they should still allow you to make mistakes. Simply forbidding you is ridiculous unless the potential date is a smurf and/or druggie of some sort. And even though it may be their life, some teenagers are completely unable to make proper decisions and parents are there to help them. They teen itself shouldn't make a decision and stick with it without seeking advice from someone besides them or their friends (Could be close older friend, or something). Just because it's their right doesn't mean they'll make a proper decision.

Just my two cents.

:) I went to my school's first volleyball home game.
:( They lost.

Gloat: Interaction! With friends! On Friday! For three hours!
Cry: I still have two more days to get through until then.
