Your screen most likely can't support the resolution or the refresh rate set for that resolution. This is caused by either a recent change in video settings or a corrupt video driver.

What you can do is boot into safe mode and change your video settings by decreasing the resolution to 800x600, then restart your computer.

I don't have video thingy on my computer....

If you didn't have video, your computer wouldn't even boot up.

Any technical advice would be appreciated,

Ok...
I am back with my computer problems.
Speakers won't work.
Tablet says it's on and working but doesn't.
The pictures look like I loaded it in safe mode but it isn't.
It shows 16 colours...
When I make it 256 is goes back to 16 colours.
We can not afford someone to fix it...
How can I?

I don't have your model, but I do have a Canon digital camera (S40)... Those only record for 30 seconds maximum, no matter how much memory you have.

Your drivers are corrupt. Reinstall the device drivers for them.

Couple of questions regarding startup

I believe Windows 95, 98, ME, and XP all use msconfig to access the startup programs (Run -> msconfig). I've heard that 2000 is based on the NT operating system so it doesn't use/have msconfig. When I typed it in, it gave some error saying it couldn't find it. Is there any another way of accessing startup programs in 2000 without moving the msconfig.exe file to the computer? o_O

Also, you can unclick anything you want in the msconfig, but it seems like you can't delete them. I've heard that you can remove them through the registry. Anybody know where that would be?

ANY help appreciated. Thanks. =)

NT-based operating systems except XP do not have msconfig. I don't recommend using msconfig from another operating system in it's place either, because the settings don't point to the same place, and that can be damaging to your operating system.

To check your startup items in NT/2000, you need to have some basic knowledge of the Windows Registry. Start > Run > regedit.

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run, you should find your startup items. The key Run- displays disabled startup items. If you want to get rid of a startup item, delete them from Run, but don't ever delete the first key (Default).

If this is too confusing, there are third party programs that let you access the startup items without knowledge of the registry. However, I think you should learn or know how to use the registry. Just make sure to back it up in case something goes wrong.

Try going into safe mode and removing those devices from the Device Manager. Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware Tab > Device Manager. If on 9x/ME based system, Start > Control Panel > System > Device Manager tab. Remove the devices that aren't working, then restart the computer to let your computer redetect them.

Additionaly, per-user start-up list is located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run.

Safe mode wont load but I will try.
Edit: Mouse works... Colours wont.
Edit: Using it now... 16 still colours when I set it at 256...
Sound still doesn't start up...

Safe mode is not supposed to use more than 16 colors and does not load device drivers. If this is normal Windows and that you are using the correct drivers, and if the video and sound devices are PCI, try relocating the devices by putting them in another PCI slot that isn't occupied already.

1. you need a new video card to fix the colors problem (you can get one for under $30, that has TONS of colors)

2. You might need a new sound card...

Doing that is a last resort. If putting them in another PCI slot doesn't work, then the devices are either fried, or the motherboard supporting the PCI is fried.
