I was wondering. Within our one computer will we get frozen for:

-Playing the same games ; following the same guides to make NP. (Is it any different from playing different games? If we play sponser games but then all of us play different games, is that suspicious or something?)
-Giving each other neopoints, items, etc. Say one of us needs something to complete a gallery, give stuff for gallery, lends NP to get enough money for a paintbrush, etc. Will we get frozen for helping each other out?
-Being online all the time on this computer; logging on and off within our own accounts. With five of us playing neopets, theres no way we can split one computer. Does this result in us being frozen because we log in log out and do stuff, but then get kicked out because some of the other of us wants to play. Some of us have alot of work to do for school & some can play neopets during that time. So what happens exactly?

Those are our questions.. do you think you guys could help us out? =)

Your best bet, for starters, is for every account to be on a seperate e-mail address. Accounts are usually linked by having the same email, and that's when neopets will get fussy about you sending items and np and stuff back and forth on ocassion and playing the dailies.

If you ever do wind up frozen for mutli-accounting, they're pretty understanding about this sort of thing I'd believe, and if you send a nice, polite email explaining the situation, they'll usually unfreeze it. But I doubt they will. They have plenty of families who only have one computer, yet everyone plays.

The logging in and out shouldn't be too much of a problem ... even if you were just one person with multiple accounts, you're allowed to switch between them as much as you like, and also leave them logged in for ever if you want to (as far as I know!).

TNT might get more suspicious about items and NP being sent between accounts though. I would keep it to a minimum, if possible. I'd also suggest making it as obvious as possible that there are different people owning the accounts - personalising your lookups, pet descriptions and pet pages might help.

And I'm not sure about this... but might it be a good idea to pre-emptively send TNT an email, saying something like: "Hi, Me and my family share one computer and we were wondering if this was okay...". This way, if you do get frozen, you could refer back to this email as evidence.

I think the best way for you not to get frozen is to keep your accounts (and that account's resources) seperate. Do not exchange items, np, or pets. If one account seems to be benefiting from the others, you will be frozen because it looks like one person with multiple accounts is using the side account to make NP.

Also, Neopets play is usally highly personalized. Some people restock, some people game, some people battle ... or many combinations of all that can be done. If all accounts do the exact same thing, even I would find it highly suspicious.

I also would not have all people get all free items. Especially from the Advent Calendar. Decided who can get what on which day might be an option.

When I moved in with my boyfriend, because we both play Neopets and often give eachother presents, I contacted TNT just to let them know the situation and that it wasn't just one person using the same account.

I still don't see why there would be a problem collecting things like the advent calendar. If you do have each account under a different e-mail address, and keep the trading/giving between accounts to a minimum, it should be okay.

Say if two of you you want to exchange two items, use the trading post instead. Treat your accounts how you would treat the accounts of other players, and it should be okay. TNT has stated it in the editorial a few times.

Quote:
I was wondering whether it is a freezable offense to visit the advent calendar with more than one account? Not sure if i ever heard before whether it was or not and i dont want to get an account frozen. Thanks ~ karmakitten17
Yes, it is. You may NOT visit the Advent Calendar with multiple accounts. Your siblings and other family members may visit on their own accounts as well, but just one account per person please. To make sure you are not confused with your family members, please be sure to have a unique email address from those of your family members to reduce confusion.

from this editorial: http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.pht ... &issue=218

And like I said, on the off-chance that something DOES happen, sending in the freeze form and explaining the situation should clear up any misunderstanding. But the seperate email address thing usually does work. Just remember to keep the sending items and NP between accounts only to what is necessary, if you do it too much they might get a bit suspicious.

If you get frozen for 'using multiple accounts' DO NOT expect to get unfrozen. If you have a premium account you do have a chance though. Do NOT expect TNT to be reasonable because that isn't always the case. So, best to prevent getting frozen in the 1st place.

To keep from getting frozen make sure every Neopets account has a separate email account listed. DO NOT give many items/neopoints back and forth between accounts. MAIL TNT NOW and let them know these are all separate accounts, listing the accounts and the people on each account.

Only after doing this, you can all do all the free things including advent calendar. Do not fail to mail TNT as I know families who had ALL their accounts frozen and they are frozen to this day!!!

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys. We appreicate everything. One last question we have to ask -- we've looked everywhere -- is there a e-mail on the site we can contact? Its all form's and such -- no e-mail or anything to send about "multiple accounts & families"...

We all agreed that we would do our own thing, but one thing we all agreed upon was tha twe would all do the sponser games with the guide we follow. Everything else we will do differently; such as shops & gallerys, restocking and everything. If Neopets finds this a problem that my younger siblings follow our advice on how to do it, then I hope to e-mail tnt quickly. Does anyone know how to send them an e-mail about our situation?

Good luck

Correction!!!! My flawed thinking has been corrected by a mod here.
TNT will NEVER unfairly freeze anyone and they NEVER make mistakes so no need to worry.
