Actually, it was a pretty big coincidence when me and Rach found out we lived 15 minutes away from each other!
Even bigger, another forum member lives in my home town!

2 days before the Steve Irwin incident happened, my step-dad was talking with some friends, and he started talking about him. One comment he made was about how Steve Irwin was a lucky guy because nothing's happened to him yet.
Now that's weird.

My favorite coincidence of the moment happened on the couches in the Oswald(yay Oswald!) Building of my school. I sat down near a pretty young lady who complimented me on my bag. We talked for awhile, exchanged AIM screen names, and because I have a break in my classes when she's waiting for her ride, we continued to talk when we met on the couches.
Several days later, I realized her AIM screen name is also the screen name of a very nice member on here. Dots connect very slowly for me sometimes. But there aren't that many people using the name "PuddingofEvil" in the world, and it turned out that these two are the same person. First time I've ever run across someone online and offline in completely unrelated circumstances, and very unlikely indeed.
Wow, now that's a really neat coincidence! How funny!

I've been thinking a lot about things that happened my freshman year of high school. So it was really weird when I wound up separately running into 6 people I was friends with back then in the space of about 10 minutes a few days ago. None of them were there together or anything. It was terribly odd, but quite fun.
Another weird coincidence was back in 4th grade when I found out that my best friend (at the time) was my 4th cousin. Our families had been friends for about 10 years, and none of us knew.

Yeah, seriously, what were the odds? Well, come to think of it, it had to happen eventually: the most awesome people in a room will always wind up talking to each other, and PPTers are generally the most awesome people in any given room.
'Twas still awesome.

Yesterday afternoon I got hit in the knee with a field hockey stick during practice. I now have a lovely purple bruise.
This morning in Drama we are told that we are going to have a bit of class time to practice our monologues.
My monologue is a crazy old lady who talks to herself about her bad knee the entire time.
Weird.

I've been reading The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide for a while now, and had just decided to post something about it in the what are you reading thread. I scroll down, and turns out just earlier today moongewl posted about the same book.

When I was in the second grade, I had this really close friend. I had to move away in the fourth grade. About seven years later, I am in a shoe store about seventy miles from where I had moved to (which was five hundred miles from where I first lived), and I saw my good friend in the shoe store. I tried to get his phone number, and indeed did. I wrote it on the shoe box that we bought, but my mother's husband threw the shoe box away, so I haven't seen the kid since.

I was just thinking about how "Something" by the Beatles symbolized how I felt about this one girl, and the next song to pop up on iTunes' shuffle was just that.
Gave me the creeps, but possibly an sign?

My friend asked me if I had heard a song..
I turned on the radio, and it was just coming on.
