Ditto! I usually use this one, or if it's a site when spaces aren't allowed, straight up SuperDMChan, MrsJoshuaOlds or AtlantaForce5.

I'm loving the NaNoisms thread. There are some hilarious typos there.
I had to share "I don't pay attention to you" with everyone. XD

I have one word for you all...

I tried this last year.

I quit after 10000 words due to school.

Maybe this time I'll succeed whilst doing Calculus, Chess, Physics, Cross Country, and whatever else I throw myself at.

Not counting on it though.

Well, my story pretty much will center around dragons ruling over the land in a wise, grand manner, when suddenly a Big Bad Evil Guy wages secret war and the really oddish wind magelet gets thrown in to the midst of it.

Well, good luck to everybody participating! Happy Writing!

I'd like to read some of those novels y'all are planning. They sound sparky.

I'm planning on doing the one about the alchemists, even though I know it'll be harder to keep up with than the other one. It's basically about a farm boy from northern Kentucky and the suddenly-broke son of a movie star who get roped into investigating into some odd occurrances in Chicago by the latter's godfather (who's actually an alchemist/magician of some note from the 18th century, but they don't know that).

Is it November yet? My outline for my ickle novel is turning into an outline for a 12-book series. This is somewhat worrying.

You too? I've also got a basic premise for a sequel in mind. Careful though, unless you write a lot that series may turn into a single novel. You never know. :P

I do write a lot, but the whole thing's getting a little bit massive and scary in terms of scope. I think I'll cut out the bits that happen before WWI for now. :P

Hi, Katie.

Thanks for getting back to us with your Municipal Liaison contact
information! In the next few days, Megan or I will make you an official

OMG! :o

I'm so excited (and so nervous). I've been wanting to experiance the social aspect of NaNo for so long....now that I'm out of school it's possible. But at the same time I'm terrified of totally failing my region!

How could I have known Windy would create the thread  .

Anyway, I did this last year, succesfully, along with some others like Anubis and FM :). It was fun, but my novel is totally... poo now that I've reread it, that I don't even want to keep it open on my computer.

I'm not doing it this year though. Too busy, and way to stressful. Good luck to everyone participating, though =). Have fun.

My school bus was stuck in a massive traffic jam this morning (I was on there for almost an hour o_o), so I used my time wisely and started planning the story.

It involves a bald guy who some people believe is satan and the destruction of the Earth.

What Icey said - I successfully completed Nano last year but it was the most rubbish thing I have ever written.

Whether or not I'm going to do Nano this year is debatable and dependant on how exhausted I am, since I've been very busy lately and killing myself with activities.

Have fun those planning to do Nano for definate, it's awesome to finish it.

I'm bumping this back up. ^_^ Only four more days!

I'm rather excited, but I've been lazy and barely prepared for it. =[

I'm excited! Heck, I'm wearing my NaNo2006 t-shirt right now. I can't wait for November! :D

I'm pretty well-prepared, but I've left myself some room to play around with the story.

I like to have things vague when I'm writing a story. :) I like to make up new characters as they go along, too. :)

I'm really excited. :) I'm going to try very hard to make it this year. Last year I only got maybe 30,000 words. It was better than I expected to do, though.

This year, I'm doing things a lot differently. Last year my story was about a vampire slayer. It had original characters and plot and everything, but the basis of the story wasn't my own. This year, it's all me. :) Another difference between last year and this year is that last year, I basically just sat down everyday and wrote something new. I had no idea where I was going with the story. I knew what I wanted at the beginning, and I knew what I wanted at the end. Besides that, I didn't plan at all. This year, I have an entire outline planned. I know exactly what will happen when and where, but I also left room to play around with it. I've redone the entire outline several times, too, and have spent lots and lots of hours on it.

And I won't be one to say that my story last year sucked, either. I'm really proud of it. I spent a lot of time on it, even if I didn't complete it, and it's the longest thing I've written to date. I learned a lot about writing from that story that has taught me how to be a much better writer. I don't regret making it, nor do I regret not finishing it- if I had finished it, then I wouldn't have learned anything about how to plan out a story beforehand to keep it going long enough without getting boring. I know some people work best without planning, but I burn out too quickly if I don't.

I really do hope I can make it. :)

I really like my NaNovel from last year, too. It's not great literature or anything, but it's a cute story and I learned a lot writing it. Sure, one of the subplots makes no sense, the main plot was on pretty shaky ground to begin with, and the dog eventually took over a good chunk of the story.

Still, I can't bring myself to hate it...which is probably why I never got very far with NaNoEdMo. I hope my inner editor comes back from the kennel by next year's, though. :)

Heh, now I haven't done Nano ever before, so this is very new and exciting for me. :) I plan on my story to be quite humourous, and my number one concern is that eventually it's just going to stop being funny, because that happens. Funny burns out.

I dont quite like planning much, and I usually only have some vague points and a vague outline to help me out. For example, I "practiced" for Nano by hosting a WW game at another forum, and posting a plot every night. In addition to the day/night plots, I had a little side plot going on that tied into everything and the players and such, so it was pretty neat. I was actually quite proud of it and how it turned out, so I'm going to do what works for me and dont plan very much at all. I'm one of those people who like to keep things in my head.

Grrrrrr damn you all!! :P I was all set not to do Nano this year >< Now you've all got me excited and wanting to work on my story again.

Pretty much all you have to do is write 2,000 words a day, so its only hard if you think of it as in 50,000 words in a month. Break it down, its not nearly as bad :)
