The mysterious, hulking creature stops and sniffs at the pile of rotten food on the floor. It picks up the food and eats it.

It seems to have an odd effect on the creature -- it's gotten all dizzy! It careens around the room.

After a moment, the creature shakes off its dizziness and flees into another part of the cave!

When carrying rotten food, the monster will NOT eat it, get dizzy, etc. At least, not for me.

Anyone else notice that once you pick up rotten food, you can't do anything else with the rubbish pile (it smells so bad) but you can pick up the rotten food again? I wonder if that's relevant.

I've got every moveable item in the room with the chest.

What if we have to put the chair and lap post with the table?

You can't pick up any more rubbish until the one you picked up before is eaten.

I wonder if putting items relating to one another in the same room as the immovable objects/light are?

I did the same thing. The chair fits nicely behind the table.

Tried luring the monster into the room, then using the items to block the doors...didn't work, lol.

I just moved everything into the lit room opposite the rubbish pile. Nothing happens, but at least I know where it all is.
