From the editorial in the most recent Neopian Times:
"Just wondering, how long do I have to complete the Altador Quest before it closes? I'm also wondering if it WILL close, because I think it's kinda annoying to go to Altador on my side accounts and have an unfinished quest. Don't close it on my part!! If you have no intention of doing so that's fine. ~pirate_coveThe Altador Plot is open indefinitely, which means that, for now, we don't have any intention of closing it (but that may change in the future). Rest assured that, if we were to close it, we would announce it in New Features first to give anyone in the middle of the plot some time to complete it. :O Are we serious?!?!?!?! We all worked so hard to finish it when it came out and now they're never going to close the darn thing! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! So, basically, everyone and their mom and grandmom can have a trophy for this plot. There's nothing saying "I've been here since the Altador Plot." Because EVERYONE can now "be here" for the Altador Plot...that's my little rant...the end.

Its never gonna close? I stressed over that crap for 4 sleepless nights, to get a crummy daily prise that aint worth nothing, to find the plot aint ever gonna close? God, if we would have known this sooner, I woudnt have worked so hard or quickly to get the thing done. Oh and before I shut up, if King Lupe gives me one more Blue Plushie {wether it be a kacheek or a flotsom} I'm gonna rip the head off the little toy. No, forget I said that. I'll jsut let my pets play with it, until they break it.

Well, at least I know I'm not the only one frustrated with this recent news. I was one of the first people finished and I agree the lame daily is, well, it's just that: lame. Plushies and food for months and months of work on a plot that isn't ever going to close?!?!!?!?!? bah humbug...

I really wish they would add some more options to what the king gives out... I've gotten each of his gifts several times. Not to mention, his gifts are severely flooding the market.
Well, at least I know I'm not the only one frustrated with this recent news. I was one of the first people finished and I agree the lame daily is, well, it's just that: lame. Plushies and food for months and months of work on a plot that isn't ever going to close?!?!!?!?!? bah humbug...
Well... I really don't have a problem with them leaving the plot open for a certain length of time (after all, this really does allow for maximization of plot completion). However, I do think they should have some sort of additional / different trophy for those that completed it when it first came out.
C'est la vie, I s'pose.

Hey guys.
Y'all are crackin me up. I hear you about your frustration. I was right there sweating it out during the plot too. I also wish the prizes had been more substantial. Given that finishing LDP well gave us plots that made us up to 5 million NP, one might assume the prizes for a mini plot would still amount to at least over 100k, which they sure didn't.
Only thing I say to "comfort" myself and you is that we do continue to get the little prizes every day, which no one gets until they finish the plot. I've gotten stuff worth 100NP up to stuff worth a few thousand, which isn't much but it's more than people get who didnt finish it yet. Also, I think it's stayed up because it was, as they said at the outset a "mini plot." So it doesn't really fit into the regular category of the bigger plots where they're time specific and you get better prizes.
*Oh and WolfMaiden, I got my tenth Altadorian Initiate Sword today if you want to borrow it to carve up that kacheek plushie.

I got an Altachuck today, so that's nice. I wanted to get one, but since prices will probably drop soon, I didn't want to buy one.

UHHH! I was missing for 2 weeks, so i gave up on the plot. If I knew that it would have been open almost indefinitely, i would have TRIED to do something.

The only good thing about this new daily is for people doing the packrat avie. I got that a while ago. I go every now and then cause hey its free. But im annoyed that i spend a couple of days on that water plant so i could get a few items that everyone else can get as well some dumb freebie everyday.
