I think everyone looked up to Chromey. I remember joining in the midst of the Chrome Clones thing and wondering what the hell was going on! XD

Ohh, and was anybody else totally petrified of PMing a mod?

Yeah, I was. xD I remember that whenever I realized I had to PM a mod, I tried to PM one that was the nicest in my opinion. xD

And yeah, I think everyone looked up to Chromey.

Yep. I hate PMing mods for anything still now. Even when I do that I always put the subject as 'Uh..' so that they won't either discard my PM as useless and will want to read onto it, or, so that they won't wreak their horrible Modly vengeance upon us mere users!

I still am. XD I used to be terrified of the staff, but in an oddly obsessive and stalker-ish way. Now I'm just scared of them like I am of any other authority figure.

I remember being Sathanase.
And Runevalkyrie not being a mod, and she made me a sprite of the Darigan Buzz (the one that was cool and very much anti-rubbish) during the first war.

I remember little else from before that..

I'm still afraid to PM a mod... her names ahoteinrun, I hear she eats babies and uses kittens as a football... but lately she's been doing the most heinous thing of all...

Hee. I might've been slightly intimidated at first, but I'm sure not now. Except for Inrun, all the mods are fluffy bunnies. (Inrun is, of course, a fluffy guinea pig. ) When I was a mod, I would do the Happy Snoopy Dance every time someone PMed me.

Actually, I still do. I like getting PMs.

Oooh, I remember that. I think I continually voted for HL for some reason. Rather ironic, as I later acquired an enormous crush on him (that's now fully gone, worry not).

I remember Rage doing this thing with McDonalds toys about the mods....yeah.

I'm still scared to talk to my fellow mods. Esp. the admins.....

I joined October 11th, 2002. Meeting Faye is the most prominent memory I can think of.

But then, in my experience, the mods are just as afraid of you as you are of them. As long as everyone moves very carefully and talks calm and clear like everything should be fine. No sudden movements and be weary of touching them.

Of course getting a PM isn't near as frightening of a thought now as it was when they put in that bugs bunny sound... now that used to really scare me.
