Bruno had to take a dump after eating one of the leftover rotting vines... Oh and you stole their vines.

I didnt get credit for my only completed fight, and the other fights I tried just kept white-paging out. I'll wait until later tonight though. Theres no need for me to get frustrated, annoyed and put in a bad mood over some trees.

Id guessed the Evil Trees would be next after the Sentient Stones. :) I was checking the TCG for likely opponents when this battling started. These guys look more menacing than tombstones at least.

I'm giving up for the night. Maybe tomorrow night will be better being a weekend night and people might have places to go...trees to kill...

this is such a bummer. I wanted to go for quantity but I didn't get a chance to battle a lot of the gravestones due to the lag and also having to go to work and all. Quantity always counted in the past wars - hopefully since this is a different kind of plot it won't matter. . . :(

Hey TNT! In the plot we now have to battle, but we can't! The Battledome is slow, and for some the pages aren't even loading! What can we do? D= Please help! ~x_laura_buddie_x

This happens whenever there is battling in a plot (not that that makes it any better, but there ya go). :P The number of players in the Battledome at any given time during these events is astounding, and it doubles and triples every time we start a new one. It's amazing it's even up at all! Okay, seriously though, there are several people who are constantly keeping watch on everything, even in the middle of the night, to make sure it doesn't explode completely. The fact is, no matter what we do, there are always TONS of people who hit the Battledome once fighting starts and lag is inevitable. That's the Intarwebs for you. And the whole "You should have seen this coming!" argument isn't valid. ;) We did see it coming! With every plot step, we're constantly battling (no pun intended) with ourselves to make sure we do something fun, but also that the site can handle the load. When it goes off without a hitch, you have no idea we were even concerned with such things in the first place. That's the way we prefer it, of course. ;) When it doesn't go off so well, though, understand that we did (and are doing) everything we can to keep things running as smoothly as possible. It's just that sometimes there are bottlenecks in certain places that we can't control. :(

Think about it this way - one of the few options we have to fix certain lag issues is to not do these plots at all. That would be lame, though, so we press on anyway and hope that everyone understands. With MILLIONS of people on this site, the Intarwebs can only take so much, even with the 400+ servers we have. *nod* 400+. That's a LOT of servers, and it still has trouble handling y'all.

So there you go. They prepared as much as they could, but there are just way, WAY too many people trying to fight all at once and we're bottlenecking things.

At least this wave is tougher (the difficulty 50 tree seems to gain 5 hp per win), so I'm hoping the lag will calm down as more and more newbies max out. I am SO glad they took the stones away, because if they hadn't, everyone would have been able to fight tons and tons of opponents and the lag would never go away.

Just because they admit to the problem doesn't mean they shouldn't try to fix it. Why can't they make it similar to a phone line in a radio contest? For example, the tenth caller wins. Everyone is calling at once. Some get a busy signal. Some make it through. Those that do happen to make it through get to complete the entire phone call before getting disconnected. Same here. Those of us who happen to get the tree as a challenger get to at least finish the fight and get the score recorded. That's all I am asking.

I mean, honestly, can it be that hard to figure out a solution. Instead of just raising up their hands in dismay and saying sorry. Like hey, maybe divide everyone up into groups. A-D goes 9 to 9:10, E-H goes 9:20-9:30, etc. Or queue people in line. It is just so easy to say sorry, no can do. Not like I don't pay $8.00 a month to play the game, you know?

This is what I was sorta thinking...since the stones were loading better for me later than they were at the beginning-ish. Plus, it gives me the time to level up my pet since I'm sorta newish.

You'll need it for the trees, from what I'm hearing. The toughest one is 50hp...(I'm only 58, so don't feel to bad about your pet. At this rate, beating Meuka would come quicker...)

To clarify things for this plot, though, we will tell you that battling DOES count, but for how much, we won't say. *cackle*

This was also in the editorial.. :)

So you have it straight from the horse's mouth - these fights are worth something.

I am still trying to get in the dome to fight a tree. Battles on bravely!! :roflol:

Sat Nov 04, 2006 4:26 am

Grrrr kill the lag .. it's not even loading at all!

Sat Nov 04, 2006 4:55 am

Mine's not loading either, seems to be worst than the stones.. Hope to at least get thru a tree or two...

x.x I can't even get to the next page. It just refreshes the main BD page.

Edit: I'm moving my original post since it doesn't make much sense here.
