Oh, I see what I was doing wrong! The guides I was using only said 'root' in them, so I automatically thought 'bumroot' instead of 'madvine root'.

Ok, I need someone who's quite good at maths. I'm at part four, composition #2 (Spectral Essence). Basically, I crushed 10 grams of Bloodfern to the max, made a composition out of it, then combined it with 3 grams of Leafy Slorgblossom to which I did nothing.

This gave me the following composition:

Miscellaneous Composition

Quantity: 13 grams
Conjuring: +300
Divination: +92
Enchantment: -69
Power: +138

My recipe is:

Composite #2:

Special: Spectral Essence
Quantity: 23 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +275 +/- 1

So basically, I need to add another 10 grams of Bloodfern to it, but I need to know to how much Power I need to crush that 10 grams, counting weighted averages, to get my value of 274-276.

I wouldn't know where to begin to calculate this.

Try 3 grams of wool burn to 268
3 grams of jurple crush to 132
3 grams of bumroot (do nothing)
and 3 grams of leafy (do nothing)

This one worked for me:
Take out 2 grams of Slorgblossom and 6 grams of Bloodfern.
Start burning the Slorgblossom and soaking the Bloodfern. Wait 60 seconds for the Slorgblossom to max. Use it to create a new composite.
Take out 3 lots of 5 grams of Bloodfern and start soaking them. Find something else to do for 7 1/2 minutes...
They should all be maxed out. Start crushing them. Find something else to do for 6 minutes...
When they've maxed on that, add them to the composite that you've started to create the 23 grams of Spectral Essence with a Conjuring of 275

Actually, there is. We've got a board going right now where we're systematically going through each combination of 3 individual 1 gram ingredients, burning and crushing all. It's slow going, but it just might work.

The thing is, Bloodfern can be crushed all the way up to 390, so it's ideal to even things out - I just need to find the value I need to crush it to. Plus, I'ml hardly gonna throw away what I have now. Still, thanks for the help, who knows it might come in handy if I really don't find an answer.

EDIT: I think I got it: 10 grams, crushed to 243 Conjuring, should lower my 13 grams 300 Conjuring to 275,217 Conjuring - if I'm right.

I can't find a distribution like ours on any of the petpages that I've seen linked, and I can't figure out the way to figure this out... Is there an algorithm? Some structured way to solve it? I've been banging my head against it long enough that I'm cranky and snappish, and I'm two splits back trying to read posts on this thread, so forgive me if I'm asking something that everyone already knows. Please help!!

I hate this so much. -_- I've got a combination somewhat similar to beanmommy's so I was happy when she brought it up, EXCEPT for one problem: my combination is only SIMILAR, not exact.

I don't understand the whole process one bit so even though I tried the process in a different way (if you could call it different), I totally didn't understand how it went. Can someone help me out? Please?
