I kind of like the new layout, even though I did grow on the "Puzzles/Action/Luck and Chance" categories (because I loved the images ) The downer is that you can't set the quality. Bye-bye, good Usuki Frenzy scores

I don't even see the Google search box... which is OK, because I have one in Firefox Oh well, off to see if the actual games have changed (which I don't think they have; just something to say lol)

Edit: oooh I do like how they show your all-time high score, not just your month's high score... doesn't make me feel like such a loser that way

Guys i noticed that The Guardian game has some funny words on the game itself.It does not have the usual "start game","instructions" etc.when i finish plying the game my score was like 9999.I dare not send the score.Also the licca chan game,when i send score,its being reviewed?and its counted towards my 3 plys?!darn.i think the games room is really unstable right now.

For me, TNT is really weird. For my Lady and Tramp Crowd Patrol, I broke my own record by scoring 897 points and it went through perfectly okay. Next I scored 894 and it's still okay. Then I scored 894 again and it got reviewed. o_0 This is silly.

I can't stand this new game interface. It looks too 'Nicolodean' for my taste. I don't like the fact that the NP ratio is gone. And what really irks me is now I can't select what Quality I want. I have an older computer and dial-up. My machine just sloooows way down when I play a game on "High". I usually play on either Medium or Low Quality. It takes me forever to load the game pages. TNT's programmers have used way too much AJAX for my liking.

For me I usually play on Medium, which suits me really well and I love it all the time... I really wish TNT would be more considerate to people whose internet connection isn't soo good (although I have to agree that mine is quite fast, I still don't like playing on high)...
Yeah I know they are trying to make things better for us, but (to their horror?) they've made things WORSE.

There are a few things I like and a few things I don't like. The gamesroom needed an update and the way they changed it it's a lot more organised. This game challenge also sounds very interesting.

One of the things I don't like is the style and colours. The colours are a bit too bright for me and it just doesn't seem like it's done in the same style as the rest of neopets. It's seems a bit too kiddish to me. I hope that none of the future updates will be in this style too, I just don't like it.

I also don't like that they removed the np ratio, the quality settings and the stock room link. I hope TNT will put those options back.

I don't like the new changes, but I don't hate them either. I'll get use to it

I haven't really tried navigating the games room (as I only just opened it) but I really hate the colors. It makes me feel like I'm on a children's gaming site.

EDIT: And I hate that navbar thing at the bottom of the games room page. THe whole color scheme of the page clashes horribly with my sidebar theme!

Urrgh I do NOT like the new game room. Especially the 'for kids' category, I find that a bit patronising. Plus the toolbar at the bottom doesn't fit in with the other Neopets artwork. On the plus side, the games button on the Neopets toolbar hasn't been updated, so I could just use that

I'm glad I'm not getting the Google search at the moment. Considering how strict Neopets are about even posting the address of an outside site, it seems strange to have a function which specifically takes you to outside sites. Ah well, I guess they must have been paid a lot by Google for this Obviously the money from Premium, Neopets Mobile, merchandise and ads just isn't cutting it

It's extremely ugly, overly complicated, less organized than before, harder to find games, sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the site, and whatever the heck that thing is in the top image that says game room is the ugliest thing I've ever seen!

And worst of all, it no longer tells you the NP to points ratio! The single most important piece of information about the game!!

I really hate this. I am tempted to write to TNT complaining. Or stop playing Neopets all together.

Totally agreed on all points. My interest in Neopets has been waning recently, I think because I was so frustrated with the plot...I don't think I could stop playing altogether, but I'm very, very disappointed in them.

The google thing really makes me angry too. I think it was you, Meer, who said "If I wanted to search Google, I'd go to Google!" I know it's all about the money...I'm sure Google is paying them to have a Google search function on the site...but what's the point? I love Google search and I'm there all the time, but what in the world would I search for on Neopets (or any site that has the Google search link) that I'd need to search Google for?

I also agree with whoever it was who said Noepets should be more like LJ where you can customize your site scheme. I want the old Gamesroom back. Are the bright colors supposed to appeal to kids more?

Maybe if enough people complain, something will be done. It's fine to want to improve your site, but there are bugs they need to work out. At least bring the danged NP to points ratio back! I could get over the ugly blinding gamesroom if I had my ratio!

I don't like the graphics very much, it's too... cartoon-y for my tastes. Though it seems a bit more organized, I'll never use most of the features, I know already which games I want to play. I don't get what the medals are for, though, I see it's about popularity but how can I remember that black is more popular than blue?
The AAA thing is the only interesting fact, I hope for a tourney or something. I get bored easily with no big site event to take part in.

i wish they would have fixed the problem wiht having to reload the game window betwen every game to send scores while they revamped the game room

i reall dont like having so many categories or the colours, but i do like the new most popular games link. they do need to throw int he favourite games link on the main page aain though, and they do need to bring back the quality setting and np ratio.

i guess i will get used to it eventually.

I actually really like the new games room. I'm on dial-up too, but everything is loading in at a decent speed and I'm having no problems with anything. I do wish they'd put the pts-np ratio back though.

I don't see how the colors are too bright. Course, I never understand when posters think colors are too bright unless it's a really garish fluorescent thing like the Disco pets. I agree that the layout is a bit cartoonish. I'd actually kinda like a black and white type theme.
