My theory is the reason why the phone didn't work is that he didn't have time to open it up, so he used some weird power to make it work temporarily, or maybe he had it working permanently but he quickly made it break when he saw his dad coming.

That possible, but I think his power makes the object only work for him. When his dad took the phone away from him, it didn't work because DL doesn't have that power.

I don't think it was temporary or because Mikah disconnected it. Remember, he was shocked when his dad took the phone out of his hand?

Ah, that's true... Of course, he could've "acted" surprised. :P

And I think Niki/Jessica is more of a doppelganger than a multiple-personality disorder, and I think maybe Jessica entered Niki's mind when she died and laid dormant there until the eclipse.

Jessy has been around since before the eclipse. DL was set up by her and his crew was killed by her before the series started.

Okay, here's me backing things up, hopefully with good enough evidence.

For a little while, i had the haitian and Sylar confused. Once i realised this, i went back over my post and tried to edit some of it, but didnt get to all of it. I do realise that sylar is the bad guy whos been hunting down people with powers and killing them and cutting off their skulls, and the haitian is a guy who works for mr. bennett who can apparently steal memories and helped to kidnap people with powers for unknown-intentions, and then released them once again. Theodore and Matt obviously have been both kidnapped since they both have the mark, and while we havent seen a mark on Sylar, i believe matt said in the interrigation room that sylar was also kidnapped in the same fashion.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Micah TOTALLY has powers.
Reason 1: His mom and dad both have powers... which.. is a good backup.
Reason 2: When he "fixed the phone", he didnt take out some pliars and a wrench and fix it. It was an out of service phone. He put his hand on the face of the phone, closed his eyes, and it fixed itself internally by itself. And they played all that super exciting music. Whatever happened to that phone was completely unnatural. It isnt "superintelligence" because the smartest guy in the world cant go up to a broken phone, put his hand on it, make it work for him, hang it up, and then let it remain broken. Now, why DL was able to pic up the phone and have it not working after Micah used it is still a mystery to me, but micah did something magic to the phone to get it to work for him. Whether it is healing powers or makes-broken-things-work-only-for-him powers, micah has some sort of power.

I do agree, Nikki's only power is to turn into jessica. Only jessica has superhuman strength. She has displayed superstrenght that a skinny woman like nikki or jessica couldnt have. shoving full grown men off of her or into a wall. Didnt she crack a wall or two slamming somebody/something into it? i could SWEAR i saw that. No, she hasnt lifted cars or torn open steel doors, but she also hasnt needed to for any reason. She has shown incredible strenght though.

SPOILERS ABOUT JESSICA AND NICOLE REVEALED IN PREVIEWS DISCUSSED HERE V V V V V V V
Another possibility is the fact that Jessica, before she died, was a totally seperate person with different skills. Maybe she was a karate master who knew how to wield a weapon/gun. Maybe nikkis power is to simply turn mentally into Jessica... who naturally has those talents. Shes still in Nikkis body, but can bring up the mind of Jessica when necessary.

Where did you read/see that? Confused The Haitian is with HRG, and HRG is good, so why would HRG want to kill Isaac?

When Hiro was traveling through time and space, he showed up in Issacs appartment and he was dead..... then, he traveled BACK in time (which compared to the rest of the series, is current time) and continued to live in the current time throughout the show... and Issac hasnt died yet.

Also, the most hardcore evidence of all, Hiro SAID, and i will find the quote if i need to, Hiro says that the painter is supposed to die in the future. And not in a way that could be misinterpreted. I dont know if he intends to save the painter or not, but he mentioned the painter that he saw die in the future.

As for mr. bennett, im pretty sure i can say that nobody is convinced entirely that he is GOOD. Thats not the point we are trying to get across. Its just that evidence has shown that he might not be entirely evil. He does bad things. He does things in secret, and is mighty suspicious, but he also does lots of good things, and also makes sure there is JUSTICE. He is working toward a goal, and whatever it may be, yes, he does bad things, but also good things. Good people can do bad things. Bad people can do good things. The fact is that people are really starting to watch him and get excited about him because there could be a chance he is a good guy afterall.

Now's a chance for me to sound dumb. Im sorry, but why is he being called HRG?

HRG=Horn Rimmed Glasses
No one knew his name at the beginning of the show. Even NBC calls him HRG in episode guides.

Exactly. I've been calling Mr. Bennett as HRG since the beginning of the show, and I've used it for so long that it's weird to call him Mr. Bennett.

Oh, and occaisonally you'll see the Haitian be called MBG, which is Mysterious Black Guy. Also made up by people on other forums.

And the reason why I was confused about you saying that Isaac was going to be killed in the future is that you said the Haitian and not Sylar. :P

Not as good an episode as I was hoping. not enough explanatons.

Though I am more convnced than ever about my MPD diagnosis on Niki: Her father choked Jessica to death and To quote Jess: "I took every punch so she wouldn't have to" If you've ever read Stephen Kings The Drawing of the Three, the same thing happens. The mind creates an person to sheild it from horrible events. Niki's power is super-strength, she just has a split personality.

And I am convinced that Mikah has a healing ability. In the preview, we see him kneeled over DL. He can't die so Mikah must heal him.

Still no explanation as to what Sylar does with the brains. Does he eat them?

Tue Nov 28, 2006 2:33 pm

I'm still not covinced that Niki has a split personality. I'm actually revising my theory where Jessica has the super strength (because we never see Niki using her super strength) and Niki either has no power, she's just a doppelganger. I'm still convinced that Jessica is not something Niki made up, but the actual spirit of Jessica.

And I still hope Sylar eats their brains. It's gruesome, but it makes sense. After all, Chandra did say that a person's soul, and thus their power (if they have one) is in their brain. Other people have suggested that he takes a small piece of their brain and keeps it with him at all time, but that's gross, and where would he put them?

Some people have also theorized that HRG has a power, and the power lies within his glasses. In last night's episode, when he had captured Eden, when he took his glasses off the Haitian flinched, as if to protect HRG from Eden's power of persuasion.

And as for the hero that will die, I'm thinking it'll be either Eden or Ted. I say Ted because he's literally a walking bomb, next week is the season finale, and the name of the episode is "Fallout", probably as in nuclear fallout. If not him, maybe Eden.

And who said DL can't die?

Tue Nov 28, 2006 8:12 pm

I am less inclined to believe in the spirit of Jessica because there hasn't been a real supernatural element to the show. And by supernatural I mean ghosts and whatnot. All the powers are genetic mutations not unexplanable phenomenon. And I think we never see Niki using her strength maybe because she doesn't know she has it, she didn't even know about Jessica till recently. Jessica was probably the more agressive sister and now that shes a part of Niki's mind she has harnessed the ability that Niki is afraid of, subconsciously. The only other explanation would be Jessica also had a power, Maybe to enter ones subconscious or something. If they were twins I would be more inclined to believe this. But I don't believe in ghosts. May I kiss your virtual feet if i'm wrong... ;)

It is possible HRG has a power. Do we know if he knew Claire was "special" before he met Chandra? I can't remember.

Not sure how you know a hero will die (did NBC say that?) but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Ted. In the preview for next week, Hiro says to Ando: How can a person explode? or something along those lines.

And no one said DL couldn't die but me. :D

Tue Nov 28, 2006 8:55 pm

It said in the previews that one of the heroes will not make it to the end of the finale or whatever. ;)

And HRG did not know Claire had a power before he met Chandra. What I'm confused about is that if he knew Claire had her power when he met Chandra (which was six months ago), why did he act surprised when he saw the video of her falling off the grain elevator?

Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:19 pm

didn't HRG have to know that Claire had a power? Didn't he say something to that effect when he talked about adopting her? And if he didn't know about her than its an awful coincidence that he just happened to be hanging out with the Haitian around the same time he met with Chandra. It was shortly after that meeting that he captured Eden. I think he knew about the mutations before Chandra did, just not who they were.

And maybe he was surprised watching the video cause he didn't know how advanced her power was.

Next week isn't the season finale. The show is just taking a break for the month of December. New episodes will be back in January. I thought last night was a really interesting episode, as it gave us the back-stories for most of the heroes and explained how some of them got to where they are. It wasn't a particularly exciting episode, except for the fact that Sylar was finally really involved. I'm very curious to find out how exactly he acquires people's powers. I'm going to have a hard time going a month without watching this show...it's so addicting.

Er, yeah, I knew it wasn't the finale, I thought I typed in a break. Eh, whatever.

Although what I don't understand is there's only going to be 4 episodes left (after next week) of the season, because they decided to do the 15-ep season instead of the full 22 (at least, that's what I heard).

And for anyone who missed any Heroes episodes, Sci Fi is doing a Heroes marathon tomorrow night starting at 6 pm EST. I believe 2-3 of the more recent episodes are not going to be shown that night, but the first ones are.

Tue Nov 28, 2006 11:49 pm

It will be back on the air Jan 22. Don't know about the 15 episodes though. Sounds crappy if it's true.

Wed Nov 29, 2006 12:18 am

It was definately nice to see the back story of things. Mr. Bennett may have acted surprised with the video because it is one thing to know about something by hearing it; and another thing to actually see it. Just by being told something is true doesn't make it true... seeing is believing.

What about Gaberiel's watch.. can it hold some significance in the future.. he seems to be extracting that part of the brain which wields the power; I don't think he eats it.. I had a short thought of him performing surgery on himself and attaching the brain part to his own brain.. but I doubt that is what is happening.
