I'm looking for a couple of Battledome weapons that are cheap but strong... preferably, it should cost between 500NP - 5000NP...

Its hard to beat the Scarab Ring, price about 1300-1500 each.

Yeah, for that price, you're not going to do much better than Scarab Ring, a great dual-duty. Obsidian Dagger does 5.21-8 icons and is cheaper than dirt, so there's that. Get Bone Sceptre for some other icon types. Illusens Earth Potion is a 6.33-9-icon bomb in that price range. For a healer, there's Lesser Healing Scroll (heals 25 hit points for 3k). For a freezer, Green Frost Cannon (at around 6.5k). The excellent Leaf Shield is also only 5k. Purple Sticky Hand is super-cheap and great for stealing. And if you get all that stuff, you have a very cheap, but good, beginner 1-player set.

Don't forget Downsize! Good defensive item (for me, at least) for around 4000.

Downsize! is great, but it's better once a pet is a bit stronger, so I don't tend to recommend it for very newbie sets. It lets 50% of the damage through, so you have to be able to take the hit.
