I don't know. At this point I guess it was a prank, but it wasn't self-explanatory or obvious in any way. (Not like ... but as you to go pick it up, the Pant Devil appears and runs off with it

)

Basically, I'll be waiting for an explanation from TNT in the editorial this week, and if you have to explain your joke, then it wasn't funny to begin with.

Exactly. It's not funny if you have to explain why it's funny.

Hey Mnemosyne! I remember you saying you liked the Seasonal Attack Pea soundtrack. I thought it sounded familiar and I think I know the source. I think it is a loop from the Motion of Stars track on the Direct album by Vangelis.

Yep, had one. It was really just like the regular page when you collect your prize (animation on top, Return button on the bottom, prizes in the middle) except that the prizes were empty.

Same here...animation...collect prize....return to happy valley.

Gotta echo those who have said that if today's AC was supposed to be a joke, then it's not very funny. If there was some sort of explanatory text, that'd be different, but as is, it just looks lazy. Not even an NP prize? Come now.

I feel sorry for whoever has to go through the editorials this week, what with the AC glitches and games not working and people still asking about ToW plot prizes an' all. =\

I'm more of the glitch camp, because it's not a particularly funny joke, and I'd think TNT would at least try to make their joke somewhat funny.

They did do the Pant Devil prank previously in the AC, no? With a Wand Of Supernova, if I'm not wrong. I had two heart attacks consecutively - first a OhEmGee Wand of Supernova! then another O_____O PANT DEVIL WHUT. But they also gave out other prizes and NP whern they did that. On the 13th of December. ..2001, as well as 2002 and 2003. Also in 2004 with a Bitten Green Apple, though I don't see who would mind if the Pant Devil took that.

*blink* It's stuff like that which make you realize how old neo-wise you feel.

Don't worry, Draconis...I remember that too (I also have some advent items from the very first year they did it!). That was an emotional rollercoaster! That's why I think today's...mishap is a glitch, especially considering how the site has been acting.

Right, I'm rather concerned with how nothing's seems to have been done. Usually once the complaints start flooding in someone gets on the job, but it's already past 10pm NST and nothing.

They've had pranks before. Once they turned all our pets into Asparagus Chias for a day. (My poor babies!) But it was very clear that it was a joke because it happened to everybody. This wasn't that clear. The average neopian may not know what a Seasonal Attack Pea is. I didn't know till recently, since I rarely battledome.

Now THAT gag was priceless, once I got over the initial "Holy (very bad word), MY PET!" moment and realized that, no, no one had hacked into my account and everyone's pets had been turned into asparagus for a day. :roflol:

But yeah, as yvonne said, that was obviously a joke, whereas today it's...not so obvious what it is. At least, not to me. Though I guess if the AC's glitchy tomorrow, that'll probably settle the matter for me.

Yeah, I'm really hesitant to actually collect, or well hopefully collect my advent prize tomorrow. The other day I got a replace and yesterday I got nothing! TNT starting to get on my bad side

And to top it all off, I still can't complete my FFQ cause no matter how much I withdraw from the fight, it still says I'm in it (sorry sorry for the offtopicness of that, but.. but..

*sigh*)

We'll know in an hour or two, won't we? If it is, though, the ones I'll feel sorry for are TNT. The flood of reports will turn into a monsoon storm, and whoever has to see to all that is going to have a mighty hard time.

whhattisthiss, maybe try unequipping something and re-equipping - it seemed to work during the ToW BD white pages.

Thank you! I actually ended up entering and withdrawing again, and that worked immediately, so I recant my mini rant about TNT. Eh, they do what they can and I'm sure they're working on all the glitches (I hope). I mean, we only get the AC for 31 days..

Did anyone think to check their avatars? Maybe it's one of the avvies you get without it telling you that you got it. And it is a random day each December that you get the Super Attack Pea, is it not? *runs to check avvies and hopes no one thought of this and I missed it*
