Okay, our weather has been much warmer than normal here in NY. We haven't even had any significant snowfall yet (with the exception of the blizzard Buffalo got). I'm actually begging for some cold weather and snow...I'm sick of all this rain.

Bring on the freezing temps, I need 'em!

This NY resident wants the snow and rain to go away since she has to do a lot of traveling within the next few days.

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

I love rain. It's my favorite weather. By so very far. New England's not great for rain...it's like there's a switch, and one side is boiling hot and sunny (maybe about ten days in the year), and the other side is freezing cold, possibly with snow, but usually not.

*makes a mental note about the Northwest*

Eh? Where in New England do you live? I live in vermont, and we've got good spring and autumn here. Mud season, and tourists coming up in the fall to drive around and look at the leaves and all that.

I have to travel too; I'm driving to MA to visit my boyfriend and his family. A little snow doesn't bother me, as long as it's not white out conditions with severe drifting across the highway. I'd rather have it be cold enough for snow than to deal with freezing rain, that's for sure! Other than that...snow is pretty while driving :)

I left Virginia and it was about 60 degrees, and travelled to NY for the holidays and oh my, bitter cold and slushy rain. No fun at all driving in that, hydroplaning all over the road. But now I'm half way to home (eight hour car rides are not my thing) and it's beautiful here :) (Harrisburg, PA)

Scary stuff! I don't think I could deal with that. I hope everything clears up soon, Rachel.

They pretty much managed to put the fire out last night. there's no smoke this morning, so it all seems good.

Despite being scary, its actually good for the bush, as its how the plants etc re-generate and stuff. its natural in their life cycle - its just not so good if it burns down anyones houses and stuff.

We actually had snow on Christmas day in the bushfire affected areas of Victoria and Tasmania. Which is very unusual for Australia. I too have been choking from the smoke. But luckily I live in Melbourne so the only time we have heavy smoke is on hot days. But I have a lot of relatives in Gippsland. They say the fires in Victoria are worse then Black Friday back in the 1930's where 79 people died. But because of better communications only 1 person is dead and that was an accident.

Huh? I thought it's summer in Aussie?

Anyway, it had been raining almost non-stop the last few days here in S'pore. At least when it's not raining, it's cloudy (the kind of cloudy that makes you think it's going to rain). Not cold though. :) At least for me.

Yep! It's summer :D The southern parts of Australia have rather changeable weather, I think.

The snow was only on the highlands (er, the higher hills and mountainous parts), so it wasn't a proper white Christmas or anything.

Yeah, it's summer, but Melbourne also has really unpredictable weather. :P You get used to it, though.

Rach, the bushfires in Feb are never near Melbourne!!

Gone, forever.

Massachusetts. Boston area. I'm probably not being so accurate though. I'm just extremely sensitive to temperature, so I'm cold a lot of the time (usually starting Sept or Oct and ending April or May), and the rest of the time I feel like I'm going to melt.

Tell me about it! It feels more like October than December. We barely got a frost for Christmas, and not even a few flurries yet!
However, I'm not that fond of snow. It's nice for the first week and then it's not so nice.
Plus maybe the spring won't be as muddy! It hasn't really been raining where I live.

I went from Kenucky to Iowa a few days ago, and I came back. The only time I saw ANY snow, anywhere, was in Peoria, Illinois, where there was some snow heaped on the side of the road. And here, we have yet to get anything like snow.
I want to see some snow!

I agree. I live in Chicago. It was 53 degrees today. We still haven't gotten a hard frost--you know the kind that melts all of the plants--so my sage plant is still growing. I miss snow!

EDIT: But you all can keep those fires right where they are, thank you very much. I am TERRIFIED of fire. Like some people are of spiders. No fireplaces or campfires for me.

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?
