Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

Just finished Terrier by Tamora Pierce. Surprisingly good- I love Tammy and all, but while her plots are always great, the writing can sometimes be a bit off. In this book? Nuh-uh. Reaaally good.

Glad to hear this...it's coming in my next amazon order, and I was a bit worried about it.

Just bought this today :3 I have another 8 books to read before I get up to it, though XD

Currently reading The Third Day, The Frost, third book in the Tomorrow Series. Absolutely love the series, and I recommend it if you can find it =D

Gone, forever.

Finished Poison, which is fantastically omgamazing (READ IT), so now I get to catch up on reading the book we're studying in English: Malcolm X. Interesting, but unbelievably boring in parts.

Real Hauntings: True American Ghost Stories by Hans Holzer

Only during the day, though. I'm too much of a chicken to read ghost stories at night ~:>

The Storm Thief by Chris Wooding. I've run out of synonyms for 'awesome', so I shall have to use mish-mashed words. FANTABULOUS!

Working through my collection of Douglas Adams books for about the 20th time- currently finishing "The Hitchhikers' guide to the galaxy" and almost ready to start "The resturant at the end of the Universe".

So funny... :D

Wheel of Time VIII by Robert Jordan. VII was short and little happened, VIII is shorter, though a bit more active.

Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. A change from what I usually read, but still pretty good. I was planning on reading How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff, which is similar in its 'what happens after/during a major disaster' theme, but unfortunately I didn't look inside the book when I checked it out from the library, and so I got a large print version. And now I can't read it because doing so gives me a headache because every single word is like this. And so it was like:

This is a diary. Blah blah blah. Hello. I went to England. Some guy that is apparently my cousin met me. Whatever.

(no, the book doesn't actually say that)

D=

The Ways Children Learn Music by Eric Bluestine. This book is very interesting and is really making me think about how I teach. Makes me want to go to some workshops and learn even more.

You're a music teacher? Band, Choir, Orchestra or little kids? I teach Kindergarten through 8th grade general music and have two choirs and two bands.

Wow. I'm a dork. I'm on a Neopets fansite getting all excited about possibly meeting another music geek. (No offense, of course. I revel in my dorkiness!)

Teaching wise, I just finished reading "Working with the Adolescent Voice", a rather dry but helpful booklet by an author I can't remember right now.

I teach K-2 general music and instrumental (band) lessons for 5 and 6. I taught 6th grade chorus for the past two years, but my assignment was changed slightly this year. Never thought I'd meet a fellow music teacher here!

Eragon. My sister bought it after the movie was announced, and I was shuffling through the shelf and thought I'd read it. Its actually really good, nothing like what I'd normally read. The fantasy genre for me is usually limited to games like Final Fantasy, but the book actually is surprisingly good.

Just finished Reaper Man and Mort, by Terry Pratchet, and I've started Guards! Guards! although I seem to have misplaced it at some point. :( :x

(Death: Best character Ever, By the way)
