Valentine Sidebar Question

I have the MVC in my SDB, technically, I know how to get the sidebar.

But I just realized I'm going to be on a plane to Germany late Feb 13, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to access neopets on the 14th. My question is If I give it to someone through trades pre-Vday, and have them send it to me on the 14th ..do I have to ..acknowledge that I recieved it on the actual day, or will I automatically get the sidebar just because someone sent it to me on the correct day?

Hmm, maybe the better question would be whether or not I can access the internet from my plane....*goes off to check*

No, you don't have to acknowledge it in order to get the sidebar. However, you need to make sure that the sender doesn't already have the sidebar and that it is sent on Valentines Day (according to Neopian time). Then, as soon as the sender sends the card to you (as a gift from the drop down menu), the card goes *poof* (meaning that it never shows up in your inventory), and both of you get the sidebar.

On Valentines Day, (February 14) you can send A Mysterious Valentine Card to someone. Both you and the recipient will get the sidebar, although they will not know about it unless they go to change their current sidebar.

This was posted last year around this time. I thought it might be a good idea to post it, since Xena clearly spelled out each scenario.

I'd like to emphasize that the reciever will get no warning of the recieval and will never know who it is from. Good communication and double checking to see if the sender and the reciever both do not have it will save a lot of NP.

As Neopets is currently down right now, so I can't check.. do you know roughly how much one of the cards costs?

On the Trading Post, they're anywhere from 180,000 to 400,000. Most are between 200,000 and 250,000.

Way to much thats for sure, last time I checked they were unbuyable, but last year after they started releasing them the price went down to 50-60k

Don't pay that much though. Last year they were flooding the gift shop on Valentine's Day and prices dropped to around 50k, iirc. They might even have been cheaper.

Neopian.They flood them a week or so before Valentines.
