(wow, i actually posted this first?)

I only played it twice and already it's hard for me. I'll click on a ledge, or right above it, the screen jumps all over, and she ends up at the bottom again. She like misses the ledge by a few hundred feet. :P

I really like this game, but I can't seem to get past a score of 30. When it was in beta-testing, I got to the top, but that took me forever.

I really like this game and concept too, except it seems it was not ready to come out of beta testing. How the HECK does anyone get over 9,000 in this game? I have RSI now from just trying to get past 100 points.

I have no idea why sometimes I seem to go way higher, but get less points? Also the character should be able to stick on a ledge (in my opinion). And it seems no matter how accurately I aim to click on a ledge, sometimes the controls don't seem to work well. Not to mention the fact that it matters what angle you are at in mid-air PLUS sometimes there is no new ledge above so I find myself floating for a short time before falling.

How frustrating! This could be way better, in my opinion. It was hard enough to get to level 2 and now I suppose when I close the game window I will have to start out at the beginning? It might have been nicer if they allowed the space bar to do the same thing as the mouse click. That way I could aim with my mouse and grapple with my space bar.

Plus, why are we only allowed to submit a score at the last grapple made? I only got 136 once, and I wish I had waited to submit that (and also known ahead of time I would probably never reach that far ever again.) :P

Hmm, actually I think (or know, after a bit of testing) you're not supposed to aim for the ledges - but look at the compass, or whatever it is, at the bottom. It tells you exactly in which angle the rope is being cast from the warrior.
I got over 1000 points (4th level) after an hour or so; it was soon after I got this thing about how, when and where you're supposed to aim :)

Riiiiiiigggghhht. Hmmmm. Well, I almost suspected as such but the Instructions should be re-written then. It clearly says aim at the ledge you want her to climb; then to click where you want the grapple to land. But forget that, she is not even truly climbing. In fact I don't even see a grapple proper. :P I am having flashbacks to that horrible Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon movie or whatever it was called. (Yes, sorry I really was not expecting people on strings to be considered special effects.)

I just don't see a pattern of accuracy. Congratulations on your 1,000. How do you aim for something that you can't see? Sometimes I don't see a ledge at all at the top, so where should I aim? And what if the ledge is too far to the side and you are at the other side of the, erm, screen? o_O

Yeah, that problem with not having any nearby ledge to aim on was also solved with the compass (or still whatever it is). I just placed the mouse so that the arrow in the compass would be as far to right (or left) as possible, then click. This way she throws the grapple almost horizontally. But look out, this way she also starts to chaotically bounce back and forth on the screen, which makes the next throw very hard.
Hope this made even a bit sense, I'm poor at explaining stuff, sorry

EDIT: *still laughing at your Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon comment* :P People on strings indeed.

I really didn't like this game during testing. I didn't really understand the point. :P I'm going to try it again though. I agree about being glad it's not part of the daily dare.

Each jump is dependant on the gravity she uses as she falls; so the longer you wait after she starts dropping, the farther up you will go with that jump. And if there isn't a ledge near the top, going for one in the middle of the screen can shoot you far as well. This game is complicated, and I'm concerned there is no limit to how many lives you get. :P

In my experience, the longer I wait as she falls, the faster she falls. :P

How did you get 1000 in level 4? I was on level 5 and could only get around 850-ish. Levek 5 is super hard, I havent even got up to the brown rocks yet :P I wish it could save our levels- on level 5, if you get the first rock and fall, you still get like 700 points! :D

This game fills me with rage. Uncontrollable, boiling, make-linoleum-peel-under-my-gaze rage.

:roflol:

*flashes back to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon again* .. (but it just goes with the emotional theme somehow) .. I wonder if there is a cheat code for this game, althought I haven't a clue what it might do. Slow down the screen, advance you to the top in one grapple .. give you more cliffs? :P I don't even know what would make this game easier for me, but I can tell I REALLY stink at it if people can get 9,900 in that game. It makes me so angry I almost want to .. play it again! ...... Perhaps tomorrow .... when I can at least earn a pitiful amount of Neopoints from it .... that will fill me with anger until the next day.
