Yes, I'm still alive. Shock horror. I haven't been on PPT for a month or so, for a variety of reasons. Firstly, my internet connection up at my university absolute stinks, and probably works for about 2 days a week when you add it all up. Works in the computer studio, but I don't really have the time to go there just for forums. In the same vein, I also have a huge uni workload at the moment - I will never understand why teachers like to pile on the assignments so they're all due within a day of each other - and so that detracted away from my time online as well.
It's been 4 years since I joined PPT, and I've been on Neo for 6. I'm not sure of the exact date when I joined either - I just know that it was late 2000-early 2001 for Neo, and March of 2003 for PPT. And through these four years, I've met an amazing number of people, who know who they are. Some of these people, a few who don't even go here anymore, have been incredible friends to me and have helped me through a lot of tough times and low points.
This sounds like a good bye post. And you know what? It is.
It's time for me to leave PPT. I've effectively left already, but I wanted to come back and tell you all - those of you who didn't know - that I'm still alive, haven't fallen off the face of the earth - but that I'm just leaving.
It's nothing to do with the site. I love it, and I love the people here. I have a number of personal reasons for doing so; had a few things that were keeping me here, but those reasons have gone now.
I'm not going to disappear completely. If you've noticed, and have me on IM programs, I'm still around (when my internet decides that it likes me), alive and kicking, and still would love to talk to you all. I'm still accessible by email, if you know my address. Ditto for LiveJournal. Yes, I'm leaving, but I'm not cutting myself off from the online world that I've known for the past four years. I'm just cutting back on it. I'll still be in contact, if any of you still want to talk to me.
And now I'm at the end of my post, and it's time for me to hit the 'Submit' button and say good bye, once and for all.
Good bye, PPT. It's been fun.
Gone, forever.
