Yes-50% more. I'm not sure yet, but that's what I'm hopefully getting.

They tried to get my brother to do seperate sciences, because he gets bored in class... I also get bored, but I have friends to mess about with so you can't tell :P He decided not to because he's fine with getting 11 GCSEs and he didn't want to do the coursework... I warn you, Science coursework is so, SO boring >.< If you do trypsin in biology, give me a shout.

Resistant Materials and Art... that's a hell of a lot of coursework, and not much time to fit it into. I only do art out of those, and I'm struggling! (I'm also a lazy git).

PSE. That's a GCSE? O.o Or do you still have the class? They replaced ours with modular courses so we can get our yearly requirement of PE/RS.

Aren't Food Technology and Resistant Materials the same GCSE?

I only get one elective in 8th grade, and that elective is a choice between Band or Fine Arts. Blehhh. So I have the usual Science, English, PE, Advanced Math, French, Fine Arts, Lifeskills, and Social Studies. Woo-hoo. <_<

What a waste of a course. Ah well, at least I don't have to take it when I'm in 10th grade. Yayy.. :)

Possibly :

Web Design II
Photography II

Well, my courses changed quite a bit since I posted that. I'm now talking :

Torts
Introduction to Humanities
Daily Flex. Mathematics {It's a self paced course. You go in once a week at whatever time you want and do all of your work on the computer. Yay! :P}
English I or Remedial English {Depending on what my advisor says when I get a hold of them, of course.}

Ack, nevermind. I checked in my coursebook last night and it turns out I have to take it in Grade 10, too.

But God, is that a dumb course. I'd just like to copy out the course description for you:

"This course provides students with the skills and abilities necessary for making responsible and informed decisions in regards to their education, career, and personal lifestyle. Specifically, Planning 10 will focus on educational planning, both at the secondary and post secondary level, career development, financial literacy, and personal health and fitness."

Sounds FUN, doesn't it?

Personal health and fitness...What are they going to do, ask what your career choice is while they make the whole class run on the treadmill for 20 minutes? *blink*

I'll be a freshmen next year - so the courses I signed up with may not get scheduled for me, since obviously Seniors get first pick and we're at the bottom of the food chain. :P

Language Arts 1-4 [Freshmen & Sophomore years combined into a one year course, it's the only advanced LA placement they offer to us fishies. =/]
Algebra 1-2
Science 1-2
World Geography
Film History
Art Foundations [Stupid prerequisites, everyone has to take this in order to move onto any other art course...]
Technology Projects 1-2
Chamber Orchestra
Drivers Ed every Saturday for about a month and a half: but it counts for elective credits. :D

And for all you lucky ducks who listed Lunch as one of your classes - I truly envy you. :P Our highschool has a weird "block scheduling" program which doesn't work too well for giving people a nice amount of time for a lunch hour. In fact everyone I know had to go to administration to get their schedules tweaked at least twice before they even got 20 minutes free. :( [Except for my neighbor who got a whole 40 minutes right off the bat - too bad it's from 8:00 to 8:40 in the morning...not too great for a lunch.]

Japanese
Dance
Language Arts Accelerated
Algebra 1A (Meaning I take two years of algebra, since I'm bad at math) or Algebra 1
Social Studies
Science

Pretty boring...that's for 8th grade. Good language arts, bad math, WAY too early Japanese class (7:15 at the high school!!) and dance instead of PE.

phy ed. :)
band
And Study Hall yeah more computer time

I almost forgot weights. That is a zero hour class so I have to be at school by like 7 o'clock in the morning and it takes nearly 45 minutes to get into town So I'll probably have to wake up at about 5:00 to check on my horses before I leave for school
