Ugh, am I the only one bothered by how the Usul looks now? :( I mean, instead of worrying about this stripping-and-ripping thing, I can only think about how bad the poor Usul looks in the first petpage link. And I don't even have one!

Well, I'm kind of glad someone reported me. If it is really a glitch, then at least it is being fixed, so it might have been worth it to get reported, at least I brought attention to the problem. I've decided to stay with neopets a while longer, in spite of the changes. I'll at least feed my pets, if anything. They don't care, they'll get a few page veiws out of me at least, as I look for something for my pets to eat, so it won't seem as though I quit to them.

I thought you couldn't pound a pet with weapons? I seem to remember trying to pound a pet once with a snowball equipped, just to see if it would work, and it wouldn't let me.

That could actually be a fun thing to do. Well, this is really going to change the dynamics of pet colors and paintbrushes... whether for good or bad, I don't know.

I dunno about this. On the one hand, if this decreases the value of paintbrushes, I may be able to get my pirate eyrie sooner than I thought. But then maybe I wouldn't feel it was so much of an accomplishment to get one. But then maybe I could get a pirate eyrie, take off it's clothes, then paint it a different color and have a even more customized pet, that would be cool. Anyway they ruined my other dream pirate pet, the Xweetok. >.>

But this all may be a moot point if that's what their working on now with the pound closed. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Good idea, but for me? No. All my pets (apart from my lab pet) are limited edition. Labbing for clothes for them would be so hard (and expensive)...

Meer pets can have bd items attached. when you pound your pet they automatically go back into your inventory. i tried it once to see if i could give the new pet owner a starter set but it didn't work. so it seems they just hadn't implemented a way to keep the clothes in order.

It's so hard to get a painted pet in the pound when you're just surfing (how many people do you know that have done it?) so I'm really not all that worried about this.

Ohh right. hah, my memory is faulty. ;)
But it still has the same effect, a pet can't be in the pound with bd items equipped.
If they would just do something like that with clothes, only reversed... The pet must go into the pound with all the clothes that it has by default for it's color. Then there would be no stripping of pets.

Not to shoot down your idea, because I think it's a good one..but what about people who paint their pets one color, strip it of their clothes, paint it another color and put the clothes back on the newly painted pet and the pet eventually ended up in the pound? Someone on this forum had a really cool example of that but in this scenario would the extra clothes just disappear?

While I can see the chaos this could cause, I kinda don't want them to fix that because I have an awesome idea for a multi color pet that I am looking forward to trying.
