Most people don't know the connotations anyway, so it's pretty much okay.
Uh uh.. Just so you all know, Cassandra was a daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. Apollo thought she was really beautiful, so he gave her the gift of Prophecy. Only she didn't return his love, so he cursed her. The curse was that, although she could still predict the future, no one would believe her. Now you have an excuse to just ignore whatever Cassi says.
Also, Cassandra basically means "she who entangles men".
