Penelope - Ive watched it about 5 times now........
Last King of Scotland - bit gruesome in places but a brilliant film
Atonement - I loved the book and I enjoy the movie just as much.
Starter for 10 - one word......HILARIOUS
Rory O'Shea Was Here - I thought it was very funny in places as well as hard hitting. Ill have to watch it again to fully understand it though.

And as you can see Ive had a movie fest. That and I have no life. :D

The Ninth Gate: HORRIBLE. SO HORRIBLE. I thought, "Hey, this was directed by Roman Polanski and it starts Johnny Depp. Automatic win!" I was terribly wrong. Never watch it. Never. I don't know how they made a movie about Satanic cults boring, but they did.

Rush Hour 3 - Laughed a lot. Jackie Chan is getting REALLY OLD. Chris Tucker cracked practically all the jokes with all the jibberish that's always coming out of his mouth. :P What, there was a plot? Hilarious bloopers at the end though.

I thought it was amusing to watch, so corny I had to laugh at the end.

Saw 4 movies this weekend
Last King of Scotland - Alot better than I thought it would be. Sadly its not as a much of true story as it was made out to be.
Sleepers - I liked it. It was a bit slow, but the ending made it worth it.
The Queen - I must be the only person who didn't like this movie. I thought it was pointless to show us a point of view that didn't turn out to be anything special [IMO].
The Good Shepherd - This movie made me tired. 3 hours, and not very good ones. I knew before hand this isn't my kind of movie, the kind where there are a dozen middle aged men in business suits that all look the same, talk the same, have no special significance.

I can *never* get enough of The Sound of Music. ;)

I saw Stardust last night - great movie! When the entertainment reviews compared it to Princess Bride, they were right. Love story with lots of fighting and humor. Definitely one to add to the collection when it comes out on DVD.

Halloween (the new Rob Zombie remake)--scare the living crap out of me. But then, I'm a coward. Didn't help that the guy coming around looking to make sure no one was bootlegging it was wearing a Michael Myers mask *shudders*

Have you ever read the book? It's much better. Especially the end--it's not all "La la la happy feel-good nobody ever dies!"
I would've liked it much better if they hadn't changed the ending so much, and if the sound/visual effects guys hadn't done all they could to pack the effects in. A lot of the time, they were just really unnecessary.
But <3 for the gay pirate.

No, I haven't read the book yet. I may hafta check that out - usually books are better than movies! But yes. The "mipsy" pirate was quite amusing.
I think they took out some of the ending scenes they'd filmed before releasing it to theaters.
Mainly because IMDB has a "Tristan's son" credited, and I don't remember actually seeing his son...

Elizabethtown: The story was kind of all over the place and the acting wasn't very good. Still, I liked it for whatever reason.

Superbad: It's probably the most realistic high school movie I've ever seen. It was very funny and crude, but also sweet.

Georgia Rule: It had potential. It seemed to be funny and dramatic in the wrong places. The movie was more of a drama though, and not a comedy like the promos made it seem. I did like it though.
