Number 2 I suppose. I'm not enjoying it and I'm not sure I'll be able to stand the pace. But I don't know what else I'd do, and stuff..

I am at a 1 but i submitted a vote off for 2
I have bascialy been yo-yoed through 4 schools in this year and I hate school so much. Alot of the time my parents dont even really care whether or not Im enjoying it but I still hate it to bits. Im going to talk to my dad about the possibility of boarding school but Im sure he'll say no.
Other than that I have no motivation whatsoever in school. Alot of the time Im too tired from swim training and gymnastics to even concentrate.

I voted 4. I don't like school, but I do well in it.

I actually have more fun on my 3 days with 4 classes than I do on my days off, so I guess I qualify as a 5. My courses this semester are fascinating to me (though other than Cryptology it probably doesn't sound that interesting to other people), and I adore my profs. I love the assignments I've been getting lately, too--it's weird to enjoy doing a statistical survey and writing a paper about it, but I do.

I'm probably somewhat less motivated in economics than in my other courses, but that's because it's too easy.

I don't like college. I can't write. I can't do public speaking. I don't do well on tests. I hate most of my classes. As much as I'd like to just give up, it's practically impossible to get a good job without a degree. I'm not very motivated at the moment, so I'm probably a 1 or 2.

I have no idea how to answer that. I'm motivated to do well in school because I hate getting bad grades, but I couldn't care less about the learning part. I'm a straight-A student because of natural intelligence and ability to absorb information, but if I didn't have that, I'm almost certain I wouldn't work any harder than I do now. I'd settle for being a straight-C or even straight-D student if that's all I could get without struggling. In this reality, though, I just can't stand to get anything less than a B, and that's pushing it.

That probably sounded really snobby, so I'm sorry if anyone's offended or something. Point is, I guess I'm not really motivated at all. It feels weird to realize that, because I know I wouldn't want to fail, but I guess that's more superficial, or whatever.

I'm exactly the same. I do well in college, but it's not because I study my smurf off, it's because I'm typically an academically bright person, and a lot of the things I was studying came naturally to me.

I was also an English/Lit student rather than a science one (although I do have an aptitude for maths), and so I was rather good at writing essays that were a load of rubbish in my final year of high school. I knew exactly what the teachers want, and I knew if I wrote it well enough, even if I didn't have a point, it'd look like I did. This has carried over to college to an extent - I had a 2000 word report at one stage - 80% of it was rubbish that I wrote, where I then found references to back up my rubbish (instead of doing it the other way around), and used said references to pad out the other 20%.

So yes. No motivation, but I do well anyway.

Gone, forever.

I'd say a 4, mainly because my high school is such a "go-getter!" and I haven't yet been disillusioned by the trials of college. And because that everybody is trying to get into college and leave some sort of legacy here. Yeah. Of course, school work in general, I'd say a 1. But trying to live up to the standards.. yeah... Boooo.

I have somewhat motivation since I do go to college and my parents are paying for this. In order to keep my nice, hefty scholarship, I must have a pretty high GPA. Anyway, yeahh...motivation. w00t

oh lordy. I guess for me it depends on the topic. If i have to write a paper over something I hate or dont give 2 poops about, then I'm gonna put it off as much as possible and write it halfarsed. but if I really like the subject then it'll be one heck of a masterpeice.

& I'm motivated to do well this semester so I can get my financial aid back. I messed up pretty bad and now I dont get any money for school, which is really hard on me.

*shakes fist at money*

I understand the concept of paying for higher education, but it really sucks. I mean, the bank where I got my student loan from are all a bunch of money-grubbing, life-sucking, jerks. Definitely thinking about switching it over.

Still at a 1 for me...last night I was up till 3 AM completing an assignment due today and when I got to class, I was the only one who had it done. UGH! The worst part is that the teacher gave a semi-extension...I'm so exhausted right now, I can't see straight and I don't get to be done today until 4:25 when my husband picks me up.

I want to be motivated. I'm motivated towards becoming motivated...I guess that's a first step, eh?
