My point entirely.
Music is music, who cares.

Other than my incredibly elitist brother and sister I mean.

That seems to be going from one arrogant extreme to another

Define music for me and I'll list bands that don't meet your classification

:P

There are instruments of some form.

That basically defines music.

I Dare you to find a Band that doesn't use an instrument in some way. :P
(Bearing in mind that The electrical do-dads some use are still instruments)

lol, do you really want me to go through all the rap and electronica artists who's music is completely manufactured without a single instrument?

actually you dared me to find a band, so I'll save the epic list and you use one example

Blaqk Audio, their music is completely programmed

but if you consider human vocals to be an instrument, I know there's Kraftwerk songs that even the vocals are produced from software

Computer produced is still an instrument :P

Course I'm just playing Devils advocate.
Music is music, Rap is rap, pop is pop, and while I may not like certain styles or artists (I hate Ion Maiden with a violent passion) I know talent when I see it.
Don't really like Eminem, but I know he has talent.
Don't really like the Beatles. Know they have talent though.

I'll acknowledge synthesizers as instruments, but software is not

you're not very good at conveying points

I was questioning your statement 'music is music' then you go and imply that rap and pop are two different entities than music

bravo.

I was getting at the uselessness of sub dividing Genre's actually.
I tend to take it for granted that people are keeping up with my point (They rarely do)

Instrument: a contrivance or apparatus for producing musical sounds.
It's still an Instrument.

Edit: Misread, get over it.

This is much worse than I initially assessed, you not only can’t convey messages in an articulate manner but you also cannot comprehend information that is presented to you

It's slightly ironic that you tried to be condescending

lol.

Music has become too analytical for its own good, show me a band that epitomises metal as a genre, chances are its acknowledged genres has a few prefixes slapped on it

Actually, few is probably an understatement

That point has already been established and agreed to by yourself

If you refer back to the first line of my last message

I'll acknowledge synthesizers as instruments...

I like how you brought out the supporting definition to prove something that I've already stated

back to your definition of music, last night I remembered about Rahzel, he can sing and beatbox simultaneously, his music is completely created by himself without any instruments

So unless you've got something to say that isn't either acknowledging something pre-established or agreeing with what I've already said, I'd suggest not replying to this message

I did have one thought but I probably shouldn't express it.

And looking at it, yes, I misread your post.
Software still counts though.

Edit: And by the way, condescending arrogance isn't a good path.
Get off it now before it's too late.
