Items not to expire?

But so what do you people think about the NC Mall now?

Really? That's fabulous if it's true.

I've had my eye on those Holiday String Lights.

It's a shame they're on the same layer as the Floating Fyora Faerie Doll. :/

For example, if you purchased a Floating Soup Faerie Doll and the expiration was 180 days, and that same item is now listed with an expiration of "N/A", your purchased item is also updated and it does not expire. You can keep it forever.

Some items will still have an expiration date, though, so be sure to check the expiration date for all your items, especially before you purchase!

Oooo...now I might consider getting some items.
I was really against the concept of paying real money for something I couldn't keep. But now that some items don't have an expiration date...hmm....

While you are browsing through items on the NC Mall page, if you click on the image, a window will pop up and say when it expires. If it says "N/A" for the Expiration Date, then it doesn't expire. Otherwise, it will say how many days it can be used for.

This is very nice. I wonder if this is a response to feedback? It DOES seem like a big complaint about the NC Mall stuff was that it disappeared, so basically you were paying to rent virtual clothing.
Notice the T&C update, though--they're covering their legal bases by saying "just because you paid doesn't mean your account is safe." Here's what it says:

Neopets reserves the right to permanently terminate any account for non-use including accounts with Neocash items or other items or privileges that may have been licensed through the payment of money to us or our licensing partners. Currently, our policy is to terminate any account that has not been active for two years.

This does not make your account permanent. You are still subject to deletion for inactivity. So if you ever leave Neopets but think you might want to use your account in the future, don't forget to log on at least once a year.

now Im tempted to buy something from the mall. But I can't as Im studying in poland and it's not avaliable yet....

Oh sweet!

Looks like the listened to all the complaining that it was so not worth it to buy things with real money that disappear! The finally realized that duh! They'll make a lot more money if things don't expire.

Now I'm thinkin I might just have to rethink my pure oldschool anti-mall stance. :oops:

I may just have to give in and buy some stuff.

as i said on the podcast(go listen to it peoples!), I quite support this move by TNT. I think it has really improved the NC Mall aswell as opened it up to even more people and more possibilities since i felt that alot of people thought it wasn't worth it as the pixels expired.
Now, I find it even more inviting and marketable leaving even more possibilities for the NC Mall, such as holiday sales and summer prices and such and such......they can now actually treat the NC Mall almost like a proper store and release styles that are right for the season.

I think this is a big step for TNT, and hopefully they can make all items from the NC Mall permanent.
