The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

The thing I don't get is
they filmed the scenes. I get why they wanted to give the film a conclusion, but - honestly, half the audience thinks everything is happy happy joy joy, rainbow and bunnies, the other half are like "...but... oh crud, well you how the next movie will start, now."
I think Cleolinda summed it up best in her
Golden Compass in 15 Minutes:[Lyra is captured and stuffed in a sack and taken by sled to… THE ICE BEARS?]
DARK MATERIALS FANS: WHAT? WHAT?
POTTER FANS: What are you, new?
TOLKIEN FANS: *eyeroll*
And:
LYRA: Oh, Roger! I’m bringing my father something he really needs, and you and me, Roger, we’ll do it together, and we’ll always be together through both the sequels and we’ll always be friends and I’ll get you home safe!
[And then Roger and Lyra curl up against Iorek Byrnison with their cuddly plush daemons while Scoresby and Serafina watch over them like loving adoptive parents.]
PEOPLE WHO HAVEN’T READ THE BOOKS: Oh. Well. Isn’t that all just ponies and rainbows and lollipops.
EVERYONE WHO HAS READ THE BOOKS: *bawl*

Atonement
stunning movie, I thought that adaptation from book to movie was just beautifully done. The cinematography was just breathtaking and I thought Keira Knightley actually could act for once!
James McAvoy, as always just blew me away. I think this movie just adds more to his repertoire, and makes him even more of an accomplished actor. I can't wait to see what other work he is going to come out with.
I have high hopes for this movie, and I really do think it has a very good chance at the oscars.

I just had a movie marathon. Watched the Jurassic Park Trilogy.
Loved all of them, awesome movies!!!

Juno.
Didn't really like it. Bit of a waste of money.
Plus there was the bunch of irritating 12 year old chavs that always come with a 12A film...& just GRAWGH.
Want to see Cloverfield though :O

1408
It was ok, but I didn't really understand it. Some bits made me jump, but I didn't it enjoy it that much.

Across the Universe
A bit late on my part, but we watched it for my friends party. I thought the movie was amazing! I loved the music and I am listening to the soundtrack right now.

1408 was weird. I also missed parts of it because I was uh, distracted.
I saw Juno recently - I seriously did not think it was worth the huge praise that was going around. It was funny, sure, but was not this huge masterpiece everyone was claiming it was.

Juno- I saw it in the cinema today. Some parts are funny, but it got soo boring in other parts.
Employee of the Month Great movie, very funny.

Saw Jumper yesterday. Wasnt a bad film. Pretty short though, like an hour and a half tops. Plus it definately seemed catered in order to fit into the 12A category. Wasnt really worth the £7 (yes, £7

) tbh, but not a bad way to spend the time if cinemas are cheaper near you.

Keeping Mum- kind of funny but also kind of insipid..

Watched the HP movie marathon on ABC Family, and made up parodies similar to that of LunyLucy's Goblet of Fire parody all along the way...XD

Finally another movie review from moi!
27 Dresses
Among all the corn and cheese that was just oozing from this movie, I have to say it wasn't that bad. It being a chick flick you can very easily predict everything that is going to happen next as always, but you're still going to laugh your head off at the same joke that has just been told differently over the years. Katherine Heigel pretty much disappointed me, she didn't seem like she was cast right for the character....she's too classy to be that character. James Marsden actually surprised me, I mean I was trying really hard to banish visions of him singing and doing a Michael Jackson spin, but he really did make me swoon(some of the time anyway).
I think that if you want to go to a movie with your girl friends and have a laugh, or even just want to see a movie that is reminiscent of How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days or Sydney White then go ahead and see this.
Apart from that, this is pretty much a girl's only movie....

I was actually going to watch this movie until I found out it was called "27 Dresses"!
