27 Dresses
Among all the corn and cheese that was just oozing from this movie, I have to say it wasn't that bad. It being a chick flick you can very easily predict everything that is going to happen next as always, but you're still going to laugh your head off at the same joke that has just been told differently over the years. Katherine Heigel pretty much disappointed me, she didn't seem like she was cast right for the character....she's too classy to be that character. James Marsden actually surprised me, I mean I was trying really hard to banish visions of him singing and doing a Michael Jackson spin, but he really did make me swoon(some of the time anyway).

I think that if you want to go to a movie with your girl friends and have a laugh, or even just want to see a movie that is reminiscent of How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days or Sydney White then go ahead and see this.
Apart from that, this is pretty much a girl's only movie....

I was actually going to watch this movie until I found out it was called "27 Dresses"!

omg kym did moi just affect your movie watching decision?!
if you do want to go see it go see it :P

Once: I seriously did not expect it to be this good. It's realistic and believable, it's emotional, the music is amazing, and of course Ireland is beautiful. Also, the movie isn't cheesy or predictable either. I'd recommend it to everybody.

The Game Plan: For the most part, good. It was funny as it was supposed to be, but not worth all the hype.
And on the side note...if you're a parent, you do get to go back with your child in the hospital. XD

Hopefully tonight I'll get to watch Live Free or DIe Hard. :D
Got to see the first ten minutes of it (I see the part where Mac lives. XD), but that was it. :(

Persepolis
I adored the animation in this movie, it really was something to watch.
Other than that I think it should have won the oscar, NOT damn Rataouille.

The Mist - sooooo bad. We were going to go see We Own The Night, but the boys decided they'd see something else.

Last time I listen to my friend's recommendation - 'Oh, it's really good, it's scary, all this stuff jumps out...'

I *laughed* half the time when I was meant to be scared! And don't even get me started on the religious crap throughout it...

I'm seeing Step Up 2 this weekend though, and I'd quite like to see Vantage Point.

Saw Vantage Point a couple weeks ago. Its alright - the first half or so is all the flashback stuff from different viewpoints, went on a bit too long, got boring after a while. The second half was ok, would have been much better if it had been longer. Plus, there wasn't that much character development, despite the focus on each character. Oh, and the ending made us all laugh, was just silly, even though it wasn't meant to be xD

Also watched Sunshine. Was pretty good, not what I expected (turns into a thriller). Was enjoyable though, although for some reason I thought it was a Bruce Willis film O_o Can anyone help me clear up what film I might be thinking of?

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in Drama Class. I thought it was pretty good...except the scene with all the snakes *shivers*. Now to finish all these questions... :x

We were watching the Bourne Ultimatum in english a week ago...but we havent finished it. :(. I've never seen any of them so it kinda made me sad, it was pretty good lol.

For theaters the last was National Treasure 2. I really liked that one too lol. I'm hoping to go see a movie this week...dont know what we're seeing though... o_O

Ok..enough rambling :D

Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day--completely awesome. It's like Cabaret, only with less music and no Liza Minelli or other unpleasant characters. Also, late thirties clothing is wonderful.

American History X - Wow, why didn't I see this sooner. Ending was rather abrupt though. I though they'd keep going to prove some kind of point.

I just watched Waking Ned Devine. It was far funnier than I thought it would be. Ah, the characters are just so cute and lovable.

Starter For 10
Oh man oh man! I thought it was hilarious! I mean there were a few things in the movie itself that I was like o_O about but other than that I had a real laugh. James MacAvoy is seriously now one of my favourite actors and I love him to bits, and I really can't wait to see what else he can come up with. I also love the fact that he can go from comedy to serious drama to fantasy all within a blink of an eye!
Other than that the rest of my review shall be in spoilers :P
I thought it was damn hilarious when he goes downstairs stoned and finds them naked! Damn hilarious that!
I thought it was even better when they went "Are you stoned?" and he just replies with a "Well you can talk big boy". That line had me in stitches! But there were a few things that I was seriously going o_O about. Especially the whole hash blowback thing and how he can get stoned off of that.....it just really sort of bugged me throughout the rest of the movie.......other than that I found this film really sweet and lighthearted aswell as bloody funny in places

Batman Begins

Yeah I was a bit late to it, but that was one of the best films I have ever seen. It was just overall extremely well done, and having Hans Zimmer do the music didn't hurt at all. I have always been a Batman fan, and this movie really freshened it up. While keeping key points, they wove a wonderful new story. I can't wait for the sequel.

Children of Men
Now this one didn't really appeal to me, even after I had watched the trailer it still didnt seem to stand out to me, but I was badgered by my brother so much that I did end up going out and buying the dvd just so I could watch it. I was so wrong.
Clive Owen really really did make me cry so so much in this movie, just the simple scenes, such as ones even in car or a bus made me really open my eyes.
What really did make me cry so much though was when everyone was in the gun battle shooting around and then it all gradually goes quiet and stop simply because they can hear the baby crying. That one scene really really did make me hug my teddy tiger.
What really made me sort of have saucer eyes was when the group was attacked in Canterbury, and just in that instant Julianne Moore's character is shot. That happened so quick that I literally started shaking. It was when Clive Owen's character went to light a cigarette and he just schlumped down crying, that when I knew I was wrong about this movie.

The way the movie is presented itself doesn't seem at all appealing to most movie goers, but if I was wrong about it, then I know alot of you will be too, because this movie(story-wise) is nothing like I have ever seen before, making it a totally and utterly unique movie to watch.

Snow Cake
I absolutely adore this movie. I never thought that I'd be able to watch Sigourney Weaver as any other character than that woman from Alien, but wow, she was fantastic in this movie. While autism does not effect people the same way, I do believe that Signourney realistically portrayed a highly functional autistic women well. This movie was moving and sad and hilarious all at the same time. Alan Rickman was great, as always.

Yamool!

I watched a movie called Super Hero Movie, and it was a parody of spiderman. It was hilarious, I thought. They really honed in on some of the stupid things in the actual spider man movie, but then they went way over the top with making everything so obvious in this movie.
