I don't think anyone can claim their prize right now, cdtcasper.

This is quite possibly the worst game TNT has ever developed. No influence over speed, the bad guy seems to be on permanent "god mode," the control are awkward, the lag is horrible, and I'm not even going to consider the dozen other glitches that I've somehow miraculously avoided thus far.

...Yeah i agree that game is pretty bad, but you never know, the could have done it on purpose (except the lag of course). As hard as the game is... its fitting for the whole plot..er.. event

...678 on kiko match... guh...

ARGH!!!!!

I've only managed to reach the Stowaway Sting stage twice and both times I got killed almost instantly. I just can't get the timing on the ICM part right, so I nearly always get killed there.

I'm not giving up tho...gonna keep plugging away at it until I beat this guy. I'm gonna grab a sandwich and try again.

If your playing as AAA, when you get to the ICM focus on using the helmet instead of the sheild because most of the cones are aimed at his head... if your using abigale use the sheild because most the cones are aimed at her body... i used the mouse to click on the sheild/helmet and keyboard to jump...

Hopefully that helps people with the ICM stage

There is no way all these glitches are intentional. I still freeze every time I get to the start of level 5. It is totally unfair that I will be unable to get the prize for this. I'm going to send my score of 4039 since I freeze between 4036 and 4039 every single time. I've tried it with both AAA and Abigail and they both freeze here. :x

Once you get the hang of it, level 5 is easier than level 4. At least in the Stowaway Sting level it's clear what tool you need to use (bubble for spikes, orange helmet for orange baddie, green shield for green baddie) - the trick is reacting fast enough to use them, rather than the guesswork involved in choosing between helmet/shield in ICM. The fast reacting does come with practice; for level 4 you need a bit of judgement and a lot of luck. Get a big headstart over Scram in the first three levels so that you can take your time in the final two.

Cdtcasper: The deck holes in level 5 are always at ground level and look a bit like spikes, except they're brown. I had assumed they WERE spikes until I hit one when I had two lives (I think) and instantly died. Normally you can jump over them, no prob.

Cookiemunster: How weird. Have you tried clearing your cache and forcing the game window to reload the game with Ctrl-F5?

This game has the feel of something that was rushed out without serious testing. I can't say I blame TNT for that - considering it's only a one-day thing, it would have been a waste of their time to work too hard on it. It was designed to be difficult but it CAN be completed. And if not for the glitches, I reckon it would really be quite a nifty game. :)

I don't know if cookiemunster has done that, but I have, and then some. Nothing fixed the problem. As a last resort, I may just play it in IE (if I still have it) (ew, ads ><) and see if I can just get through the game with that.

EDIT: Well, I'm screwed. Dungeon Dash freezes in both Firefox and Safari, and my IE is so old it won't even load Neopets' site without crashing. And I adamantly refuse to send in a lesser score and get cheated out of the better prizes because of glitches on THEIR part.

Ah... I thought those were spikes too. and I agree that level 5 is easier... the only real difficulty i had was that i tended to slow down to get passed the obsticles.

Just another helpfull tip:
You can destroy the spikes with the shovel if you hit the box with it. It takes a second but if you get a good head start in the first 2 levels and can find the time it helps a lot!

I wasnt so much talking about the glitches as just the... shear frustration that the game causes... and that sucks about the freezing... im usinging explorer and i didnt have a single problem

690 IN KIKO MATCH >.<!!!

From my own experience and the reports here, the game will freeze in nearly all browsers. I never got more than a couple of seconds into the second level with Firefox or Opera, and another poster said the game locks up in Safari. I only got it to run using the IE Tab extension in Firefox. It looks like they didn't even bother to test it with anything but Internet Exploiter. I don't care how much of a hurry they were in, that's inexcusably sloppy.

That aside, the game itself stinks on ice. The controls are rubbish, the level design is broken (inaccessible required items, anyone?), and an 80s arcade game would be ashamed of the hit detection.

I finally finished it, using Abigail, and there's not even any satisfaction to it. I'm just glad I don't have to fight with the wretched thing anymore.

I wish we could change what keys are used for this game i'm getting a weird cramp..... who the heck uses xcvbn for controls? why not asdf ;lkj or something you know the 'home row' bleh. I'm hopin this game will be available tomorrow because i've had enough for the night and the only way I can even get partially through the icecream level is with AB bleh.

Re: Daily Dare [Split 4]

How come if you're below the ice cream and jump, the helmet doesn't always protect you (but sometimes it does)? In the DOM level, the block could be at your feet and the helmet would still work. I wish this stupid game would at least be consistent... It hasn't frozen (yet) for me in FF -- I have the latest updates.

Ruby, you can use the shovel to knock down the DOM blocks and get to the helmet, assuming you see it in time (if you're already jumping from one tower to another, sometimes you can't get down).

It's not ungettable... Just dig through the stack instead of jumping it. :)

That's a good tip! I hadn't even though of trying to dig through the destructomatch blocks!
