Free Cash at the NC Mall...but...

Someone just posted at the Customisation forums about free cash at the mall. I went to the mall, and only after loading very very very slowly did I see a link for free cash. So I click that, then the whole mall crashes!

I think like every one clicked that at the same time, now the mall isn't even working.

This is why they can't open the pound back up, I think. The mad rush to the pound would probably crash it!

That so totally screams that someone hacked their system and added that. I'm betting TNT took the mall down until they could fix it.

Eh, I haven't been able to connect to the ncmall.neopets.com server at all for the last few days at least. Wonder what the heck is going on ¬_¬

I'm thinknig that adding the NC cash was a bad idea, I jsut looked now and it seems someone has taken it off of the list >>;;

I collected 150 NC, but now when I try to spend it, I can't get pages to load. I really wanted a father times watch, but it isn't on the list any more, so I am trying to decide what to do. I might not spend it at all, because other than the watch, I can't decide what I wanted.

The link apparently goes to http://ncmall.neopets.com/mall/shop.phtml?page=giveaway but the page only says "Down for maintenance!" atm.

Edit: The NC Mall page is coming back with the same message as well now.

Page is loading now, but gives "We are having trouble giving you your free 150 NC at this time. Please try again later." Good job TNT, nice to see that they were prepared as usual >.<

BTW, did anyone notice that there's now a "NC: " link up by our usernames, NPs, and logout links only when you're visiting the NC mall?

I've just claimed the 150 NC with no problems, and all items on the page load fine for me, except for the image of my pet.

I'm not going to spend the NC now, I'll probably wait until I paint my pets the way I want and then see if I can find anything that matches their look (and maybe in the meantime they'll make another giveaway or I'll finally win something on the QE ) Although being a musical geek, I'm kinda tempted by the Phantom of the background. Thankfully (or unfortunately) it's out of my reach right now (200 NC).
