The costumes are sets, so you'll get two items for the AAA set, and three for the Lulu set (it being deluxe and all).
And no, it's not Double Dare today.
Actual tips:
The only code for this game is "buuuurrrrrrrrp". Yes, that's right. Four u's, eight r's. It'll function like a red potion in your pocket, but there's only one per an entire game, so use it wisely! (Also, don't take too long doing it, or the timer will go dry and you'll have wasted it.)
Always be on the lookout for ways to trigger huge combos, which will get you points and more importantly, clear large amounts of snow so that you don't have to eat them. Combos occur when a falling formation of blocks just happens to line up so that four or more blocks of the same color are touching. These blocks don't necessarily have to be resting on the ground when they go off. Make sure you have an escape route ready to get the heck outta Dodge when you do set it off though, or you'll be a panchuck polarcake.
While you're eating, make sure you know when you're about to set off a combo underneath you, as the sudden change in your footing could trap you in grey blocks or crush you on the spot. That also goes for when blocks are above you. Try to get clear of those as fast as you can, either by pushing downwards to "erase" them (blocks that go above the top of the screen are forgotten and fade from existence), or sideways until you get a clear sky, although more often than not that will waste space, so only do it if it's more convenient.
Don't take too long to move, as the clock's always ticking. At the same time, don't move too fast, or you might run right under a falling block. Enjoy figuring out how to balance those two goals.
Try to remember how fast you can move side to side, since that's pretty much what determines your chances of surviving when you're tunneling under loose blocks. Depending on your button mashing skills, this can be very fast, or not fast enough. Precision is also key, since you could easily also rush under a falling block if you're not being careful.
If you're going to tunnel under a loose block, check for the same colored block on the columns on either side of the column you're about to be in. If there's a same colored block, you can first rush into that column, then push downwards rapidly. When the block falls, it'll be caught by the same colored block as long as it's above you by the time it falls.
Speaking of falling blocks, you can bite a block above you before it falls down. In fact, if you're fast enough, when a block IS falling down on you, tapping spacebar while facing up will allow you to catch the sucker in your mouth and avoid being flattened. Just don't rely on it, since it's sort of risky, and you're sort of wasting space that you could have used to tunnel downwards instead. So, that's really a last resort.
If you're about to die of brain freeze (100% full), let the clock run down instead of committing brainicide. That way, you'll have a fresh start with a full clock.
If there's room to spare and you're one block away from a potion, eat snow that's to your side until you hit 45%ish, then get the potion. This makes the best use of your powerups. As for before that point, don't fiddle around with eating snow that isn't bringing you closer to the next potion until you can reach the potion.
You can only break the worms out of the ice by dropping them, and you can only kill the worms by dropping snow ON them. But you DON'T have to kill them. They move side to side before they move down, so as long as they aren't directly above you, you have a few seconds of leeway to dance around or under them to grab the gem, then quickly flee downwards (also, they don't disappear when they go above the top of the screen, so uh, watch out). The purple gems are worth quite a bit, so as long as they're somewhere near your path, you should consider getting them. If there's blocks above the ice block, and you drop the thing two levels down, it'll break the ice and crush the worm simultaneously.
If you're near the bottom and you have time and space to spare, bite any blocks you can on the sides before finishing the level.
