Location: Antarctica or space...you get the idea already.
The costumes are sets, so you'll get two items for the AAA set, and three for the Lulu set (it being deluxe and all).

And no, it's not Double Dare today.

Actual tips:

The only code for this game is "buuuurrrrrrrrp". Yes, that's right. Four u's, eight r's. It'll function like a red potion in your pocket, but there's only one per an entire game, so use it wisely! (Also, don't take too long doing it, or the timer will go dry and you'll have wasted it.)

Always be on the lookout for ways to trigger huge combos, which will get you points and more importantly, clear large amounts of snow so that you don't have to eat them. Combos occur when a falling formation of blocks just happens to line up so that four or more blocks of the same color are touching. These blocks don't necessarily have to be resting on the ground when they go off. Make sure you have an escape route ready to get the heck outta Dodge when you do set it off though, or you'll be a panchuck polarcake.

While you're eating, make sure you know when you're about to set off a combo underneath you, as the sudden change in your footing could trap you in grey blocks or crush you on the spot. That also goes for when blocks are above you. Try to get clear of those as fast as you can, either by pushing downwards to "erase" them (blocks that go above the top of the screen are forgotten and fade from existence), or sideways until you get a clear sky, although more often than not that will waste space, so only do it if it's more convenient.

Don't take too long to move, as the clock's always ticking. At the same time, don't move too fast, or you might run right under a falling block. Enjoy figuring out how to balance those two goals.

Try to remember how fast you can move side to side, since that's pretty much what determines your chances of surviving when you're tunneling under loose blocks. Depending on your button mashing skills, this can be very fast, or not fast enough. Precision is also key, since you could easily also rush under a falling block if you're not being careful.

If you're going to tunnel under a loose block, check for the same colored block on the columns on either side of the column you're about to be in. If there's a same colored block, you can first rush into that column, then push downwards rapidly. When the block falls, it'll be caught by the same colored block as long as it's above you by the time it falls.

Speaking of falling blocks, you can bite a block above you before it falls down. In fact, if you're fast enough, when a block IS falling down on you, tapping spacebar while facing up will allow you to catch the sucker in your mouth and avoid being flattened. Just don't rely on it, since it's sort of risky, and you're sort of wasting space that you could have used to tunnel downwards instead. So, that's really a last resort.

If you're about to die of brain freeze (100% full), let the clock run down instead of committing brainicide. That way, you'll have a fresh start with a full clock.

If there's room to spare and you're one block away from a potion, eat snow that's to your side until you hit 45%ish, then get the potion. This makes the best use of your powerups. As for before that point, don't fiddle around with eating snow that isn't bringing you closer to the next potion until you can reach the potion.

You can only break the worms out of the ice by dropping them, and you can only kill the worms by dropping snow ON them. But you DON'T have to kill them. They move side to side before they move down, so as long as they aren't directly above you, you have a few seconds of leeway to dance around or under them to grab the gem, then quickly flee downwards (also, they don't disappear when they go above the top of the screen, so uh, watch out). The purple gems are worth quite a bit, so as long as they're somewhere near your path, you should consider getting them. If there's blocks above the ice block, and you drop the thing two levels down, it'll break the ice and crush the worm simultaneously.

If you're near the bottom and you have time and space to spare, bite any blocks you can on the sides before finishing the level.

Freaky Factory
Piper Panic
Snowroller
Sutek's Tomb

Same here. Wierdguy - did you get the set? I only got the Polarchuck costume head and not the costume, though when I beat AAA, it showed I won two items - the set. My inventory only showed the head. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

It just seems to be a glitch with the AAA prize.

AAA should be giving both of the prizes stated, but at the moment only the head is showing up.

Hopefully TNT will be able to fix this.

Thanks! I filed a bug report, just in case.

Second DD prize glitch this year.
Hmm, makes me wonder how many more are in store.

Since they still haven't fixed the MegaSuperb prize glitch from last year, nothing TNT does shocks me anymore.
(P.S. Anyone who wants to help us out can send a question to the editorial for us this week. Thanks.)

This one was easy for me since I already have the avvie. Weirdguy's tips are good -- combos are your friend. And learning how to dig across and down without dying is vital. If you're close but not getting it, let your time run out near the bottom of level 2 or 3 (whichever tends to give you higher points that you can clear without using the code or dying) and replay that level two times before moving on to the harder levels. l beat the score by the end of level 3 (actually inadvertently playing level 1 over because I lost track of time, and then level 3 over again as well).

AAA prize glitch is fixed. :)

I have both parts to the polarchucks costume.

A game that took me a few years to get the avi.

Short and sweet tips (I used these to get the avatar):

Level 1: Collect all gems and try for 700 by the end of the level.

Level 2: Try and collect all purple gems (but don't risk a live or a potion to get it) as well as all green gems. You want to be a minimum of 1800. Get to the bottom BUT let the time run out before you finish the level.

RESTART Level 2 and work your way to the bottom picking up the gems, you want to be around 2400. Once again let the time run out.

RESTART Level 2 for the second time. All going well, you should have around 3500 points by the end of this level.

(Continue on for avatar) Level 3: Use the BUUUURRRRRRRRP code on this level if you haven't already used it.

* Remember to let the blocks fall behind you for extra points - just watch out that they don't fall on your head!

* Use the BUUUURRRRRRRRP code only when you will not make your level.

I just checked my inventory... still not there for me. Got a reply from TNT - they said they're still working on it, but promised everyone will get their prizes. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Awww, I hope those that already opened their prize will get it soon.

I waited until I heard that the prize was fixed before opening it maybe that is why I got it.

Thanks so much for these tips, Daze! They were just enough to put me over the top and FINALLY get me the avatar (as well as the AAA prize)!

It better not be like that one year - maybe the advent calendar - where if you already clicked for your prize it was too late even after the glitch was fixed! :x

I mean how is one supposed to know there was a glitch - even after checking in here first before the glitch was posted? It apparently came up while I was playing! :(

Still keeping my fingers crossed - no reprieve as of yet.

I got the advent calendar thingy later since I complained earlier.

Sadly, the same thing couldn't be said for the carved walking stick, which I should have gotten since I did do the stress test that day, but they told me that they couldn't do anything about it, and now the thing costs around 100k and I lost out.

I got a reply from TNT saying they're working on a way to get the missing prize to me, but that "you may also want to ask your question in the Help Forum, found here: http://www.neopets.com/neoboards/boardlist.phtml?board=5."

I was really hopeful this was in response to my bug report regarding my MegaSuperb prize, but unfortunately they copied my message at the bottom regarding today's AAA prizes. I've tried the help forum for MegaSuperb prizes, I've tried bug reports, and I've tried editorials. I guess there's a small hope that they actually read some bug reports, so I guess I'll just keep sending them in until I get an answer.
