Oh join the club. My grandmother's house is so boring. I mean, its bad enough we have to go out there every couple months to take turns taking care of them..

Anyway,I take my Gamecube. Thats good. I also try taking books and music. Luckly,I can take moms laptop..but I can only get on at like 45 minutes at a time. Which stinks.

Try taking magazines,too?

How much in the middle of nowhere is it? If it's still in a town big enough for a library, you could go use the computers there, or just read. You could find a sewing or painting project that needs doing, and take it.

Can you bring some board games? Maybe some cards? Something you love that you could involve everyone in & no one would be bored.

Lets try & save the wildlife!!!

Hey well maybe YOUR grandma hates spending time with you?

Its a possibility... :P Although unlikely, so maybe you could actually do something with her?

Hate to sound like a downer, but I'm with zorg. I lost my grandmother almost ten years ago, and recently inherited her home. Nearly every second of the day I'm reminded of how many opportunities I missed to get to know her.

She lived out in the middle of nowhere (and now so do I, and oh how I hate the terrible dial-up speeds), so I totally sympathize with the lack of nearly ANYTHING to do. But way back then there weren't any personal computers or gameboys or whatnot. I did have a Merlin... meeeeeemories... anyway. So you've got truckloads of things to do if you really look for something.

Learn to sew! Wish I'd been a better student. She could sew like a wiz, and by now I'd be able to make some kickin' cosplay stuff.

Don't forget to take some time to make some memories that you can keep forever.

What with tin of olives? Foil!

Looking for a Scary Jack... was it retired?

Hmm...you're in a state park and you're bored?!?!?!?.

Put on some long pants and good, sturdy, ankle-supporting shoes and take a walk. Try to see if you can teach yourself to track animals, if any live in the park.

Find out how close you can get to them, without actually touching them, and without being eaten. That's kind of a downer.

If you're under 15 in the states, you can fish without a license. I don't know how old you are or how England's laws work, but you might see about learning to fish, if it's allowed in the park. If you decide that seems like fun, then buy barbless hooks - if you don't want to keep the fish, you don't have to cut the hook to let them go.

EDIT: Just took a look - you gotta get a permit to fish. There's an address here.

There are bazillions of things to do in the middle of nowhere. You've just gotta look.

By the way, wear some OFF! or other deet-containing bug spray.

plenty of animals live in that park, but my mum doesn't like me going out into the park alone and my cousin never wants to go out into the park with me.

Sounds to me like it's time for what was always my favorite Scout camp activity: Grab the sleeper!
