I imagine it like someone was saying it. Like a normal word. L-o-l. Lol.

I dont think I ever laughed for real when I'd say it..now I prefer just going,"haha".

When someone says it in a chat I read it as, "Laughing out loud". Although, when I'm reading back conversations to my dad, I say "lawl". It's an "inside joke" between the two of us, though. ;P

Exactly. "LOL" irritates me to no end, but a lot of my friends still say it.
Either way, I read it as "L-O-L". My best friend says, "Lohl!" aloud sometimes just to irk me (and it works).

No, not that I know of. Sometimes I actually do though, when I "haha".

I read it as a word, since 'lol' is the Dutch word for 'fun'.

Sometimes I have to stop myself from saying "lol" in real life. :P

My associates do say it in real life.

I read it as 'lol', I can't help it.

Well, I read it as 'Lots of Love' most of the time, but when someone says it in chat, I obviously know they mean it as 'laugh out loud'. I never say it out loud, saying 'lol' when you're saying goodbye would just sound stupid.

I read it as both. I read it like LOL, or laughing out loud. Whatever I feel like...

I read it as L.O.L... It sounds funny if I say lol as a word...
When I type it, it's becuase I snicker or giggle before, thats when I type lol, but when something is really funny I write LOL or ROTFL, or do a smiley..
It's quite complicated. :D

I "say" the letters L-O-L. I seldom say it in real life, and never in conversation. Isn't that what real laughing is for?
