Collected bead #3 yesterday and rerolled once today to a fourth (different) bead. Ironically enough, all 4 have been different colors...but 3 of the four are the same type!

Hmm. I've already spent 70k rerolling after starting with an Acko. Current prize is Holidays in Altador, a book that was given out with a $25 NC card in 2009. Seems like it might be worth keeping? It's #46 of 80 prizes in terms of value (most valuable having highest number), so better than average at about 900k. Then again, 25% of prizes are worth twice as much or better, so theoretically, I could keep rerolling and get one of them (with a 50% chance after spending another 560k, plus the chance of getting other prizes worth more, too).

It's very risky, so I think I should just accept the decent prize I already rolled.

I claimed an Altador Travel Stamp yesterday, sold it to someone I knew who needed it for their album, and spent the NPs buying another bead. Today I rolled a Silver Knight Negg. I'm torn between actually taking it and rerolling. It's about 1/3 the way down the list price-wise. Could I reroll it for a bead? Possibly. Is it worth trying to do so? I'm not sure.

This week... Pink Walein T-Shirt. JN Says, 380k. Yep. Bought one and re-rolled... Light Sceptre. JN says 300k, but SW says 900k I might hang onto this one.

Edit: after spending 10k, I rolled a slorgclops. Hm. 51/80, and 945k. The top prizes are not worth that much more, and there are a bunch that are worth less. But it's probably a little HTS?

Quest log is down. I was able to finish yesterday's quests before it went down. I hope it comes back sooner than later so I don't miss another day.

I actually collected a yellow matu bead yesterday and was starting a new quest week this week. I wonder if/what I will get after the maintenance is complete. I am actually happy with the short break of a QuestLog pause. This will allow me to focus more time on the Altador Cup!

While I will miss the 30k to 50k daily income, I do like the Kacheek, though:

The compensation prizes are in the process of going out. At present, they've started with those who were in the middle of a streak. They added a new addition to the release notes, too.

Quest Log Optimization
For the past month, we have been doing our best behind the scenes to optimize the Quest Log and reduce the slow loading speeds and squash all of those pesky bugs! We have completely rebuilt the feature from the ground up on the back end, along with a couple of quality of life updates for you guys!

During the downtime, we had to transfer over all previous Tutorial Quest data to the new system. We had a few hiccups during the transfer, and we confirmed a large portion of the data, but some users may experience anomalies with their Tutorial Quests! If you believe you are missing anything, just contact our Support team! However, you will not be penalized for completing any tasks that you have done previously.

Additionally, we have cleared all previous Weekly Streaks for Daily Quests and have sent out item grants to anyone who had been working on a Streak in the last 7 Days. We will be monitoring feedback to ensure that all users are fairly compensated!

In order to monitor performance of the new system, we will be slowly rolling out the new feature to users in batches based on username over the first day! If you are not able to access Quest Log at the time of reading this, keep checking back to see if you have been granted access!

Here is a list of changes that you may notice:

Quests now load asynchronously, with a loading screen and improved error messaging if load failures occur.
Completing quests will now increment the Daily Bonus and Weekly Streak as soon as you visit Quest Log, without the need to claim Quest rewards.
The Daily Quest timer was updated to be a bit more descriptive and hopefully reduce confusion as to what is resetting.
The reward toggle labels have been changed to "Bonus" and "Streak" rewards, rather than "Daily" and "Weekly".
The bonus rewards section also now has descriptions to indicate what the rewards are for.
The bonus rewards section has been improved on Mobile to make it easier to see your progress.
If there is an error that results in a user receiving less than 5 Daily Quests, you can now refresh the page to generate the missing quests.
We have taken measures to reduce the chances of users receiving more than 5 Daily Quests, and prevented duplicates of the same quest on the same day.
NP Amounts for Daily Quests are now a bit more variable.
All Spin a Wheel Daily Quests should auto-complete now if the user has already spun the designated wheel at least once for the day.
Feed a Pet Daily Quest should now auto-complete if all of your pets are full or in the Neolodge.
Spin a Wheel Tutorial task should auto-complete now if the user has already spun any wheel at least once for the day.
Turn in a Treasure Map Tutorial task should now auto-complete if you have already turned in Lab Map, Petpet Lab Map, or Forgotten Shore Map.
Notifications have been added to the tabs to show the amount of quests you have left to complete for that tab.
Overall, the way that data is now stored and retained will improve the performance of the feature, even if it's not visible!

Streaks are all reset, and items from previous streaks will be granted with a Neomail alert! Your streaks will restart any time you visit the Quest Log, if you don't go today it will just start tomorrow. You can't miss a streak that hasn't started yet

Presently we are working through grants for those who either started a streak yesterday but did not do any quests, or if you already had at least one day complete on the streak. We want to make sure that everyone who has experienced issues with the Quest Log is compensated fairly, though, so we will be looking at those who had broken streaks in the last 7 days next! Edit: This applies to those who completed streaks yesterday as well!

I guess we should have mentioned this in Release Notes as well, but with the Streak Reset, re-rolls are also being reset and your streak items will probably be different if you had broken your streak before now. We pretty much redid the entire system anew, hence the fresh start!

So what I'm understanding is that those of us who collected yesterday are not at the beginning of the list and will be addressed once they tackle everyone who was in the middle of a streak.

I decided to check once more just as I was about to go to sleep and managed to finish my daily quests.

I find the "bonus" vs. "streak" labeling to be more confusing than daily vs. weekly.

My item is a slorgclops. I already received one (plus the negg and supposedly the avatar, though I didn't check that), so I'll probably reroll just for something different.

They REALLY want us to sign up for Neopass. New tutorial worth 500k for doing so. Is it actually more secure? Does it create accounts for you on other sites? I need to look at the pros and cons.

Time for bed. Today was a long day at work, and I have to be up in less than 5.5 hours.
