Tobias woke up, he had fallen asleep in the subway restaurant and was now being poked by the end of a broomstick, on the other end was a teen not much younger than himself "Oi, we're closing early soon, serial killer on the loose". Toby glanced at the little TV in the corner of the store, a news article describing how the same mysterious man had stopped a car somehow and then killed the driver, and then moved on to kill the renowned Dr. Zeus was on. Apparently after a couple of hours they managed to finally wrangle a story out of the girl that had been at the scene of the car crash, and had moved on as another murder was reported. A man had gone through Dr. Zeus' office and done something to kill him, then smashed through the wndow and ran as the police neared, the secretary he had threatened had pushed a silent alarm usually reserved for madmen.

The reporters said how the paramedics checked him and said that he had died much in the same way others had died recently and the police said he was now wanted DOA in connection to the deaths. In minor news an old lady outside of Dr. Zeus' office had had a heart attack after she had seen the man burst from a top sotry window and land unscathed.

'I'm getting home, no point staying out with a murderor'

Kylie shrugged, slightly put off by being ignored. Then again, sleeping people weren't really that responsive anyway. Until they were woken up. As some random bloke approached the sleeping bloke to wake him up, she turned and walked out the front door, sandwich still uneaten.

Outside, she was surprised to see the girl who had been right next to the accident. Odd, she thought to herself. If I were she, I'd be home with a nervous breakdown. Or something. "Hey there," she said as she got close. "You were at the accident, weren't you? How are you feeling now?"

The blackness from Lynn's eyes slowly faded away. It was being replaced with visions of the office ceiling, Dr. Zeus's desk, some chairs, broken glass on the floor... She sat up and stared at it all. "It wasn't just a dream..." She thought, bringing her hand to rub the sweat from her forehead.

"Lynn, the police will be here anytime now, andI don't need that. I'm not being taken in. I have no faamily, no home, the cops....they'll stick me in some home for homeles people. I don't need or want that! I am leaving...are you coming because I'm sure that guy is gonna be coming back for us...we saw too much." Danny rambled on, after he saw Lynn awake

"Yes, I was there," Zia said in a low voice. "I guess I'm alright, but that man really scared me, so much damage," she added with a wide-eyed expression. She recollected herself and introduced herself, "I'm Zia."

Zia looked passed the girl. 'Guess they're closing, oh well. I'll buy something tomorrow.'

She looked back at the girl, examining her. "How much did you see? Of the accident?" she asked, with a little hesitaion in her voice.

[OOC: To let everyone know, the time is near midnight]

'That too close, a little too close for my liking,' thought Axel to himself as he slipped his hands into his pant pockets. 'I won't reveal who I am just yet,' he thought as he walked down the street.

He was a fair distance away from the building now, walking past burnt out lamp posts and old shopping carts.

BOOM

Axel slightly jumped once hearing the pounding of the thunder which had just started.

'Perfect timing,' he thought as walked on, stepping in a puddle of water.

Axel stood still, he had felt something, a scream of some kind. Axel began to think about his life while he was living. He had the pampered life in which children dream of having, and what did he end up doing? He ruined it, killed everyone he loved. Or so he thought he did. He kept driving everyone away from him. Not wanting them to feel his pain. He cared. He cared for someone. Why did he care?

Axel fell on his knees, damping them as the came into contact of the water.

"Why am I feeling such hate?! WHY DO I DESERVE THIS?!" he yelled knowing no one would answer. "Why...?" he said as banged his fist on the ground.

Nothing was making sense anymore. Nothing at all. Not even him.

Lynn looked over at Danny. Now that he mentioned it, she could hear hurried footsteps comming up the stairs. A lot of them. "All right." She nodded while getting to her feet. "But where can we go? The only other way out besides the stairs that I know of is the-" She cut off her sentence and turned towards the broken window. Glass still lay scattered on the floor where the figure had jumped through it. "The window." She finished.

"Oh, heh, right," Kylie said, realizing that she had forgotten to introduce herself. "I'm Kylie. Kylie Rakefield. I was..." she paused, the image of the bloody body and the sound of metal crunching flashing through her mind, then continued in a softer tone, "...right behind that car. I saw just about everything. There was a man, wasn't there? One who jumped down on the car?" Her eyes pleaded with Zia to reassure her that she wasn't crazy.

"Yes the window, but how...Thank you Dr. Zeus!" Danny ran to Dr. Zeus' desk. From underneath he fulled an emergancy fire kit. He pulled out the rope ladder and went over the the window. He put the ladder down, but it didn't quite make it to the floor.

"At least, we won't have a big jump" Danny said, but Lynn was already climbing out. Danny ran to a chair and pushed it under the door handle, just to give them some time. Then Danny climbed out the window

"Yes," she hesitated a moment, not wanting to remember.
"There was a man, he was horrifying. I...I...didn't know what to do," she said, goose bumps crawling up her spine.
"I couldn't believe it, I would've sworn I was crazy, but he was real" Zia added.

"Anyways, which way are you headed?" Zia asked Kylie.
'She seems like a really nice person,' she thought as a smile came to her face.

Axel silently rose from the ground, it was raining now. Slowly tiny water droplets began to fall from the sky, drowning the city. Axel reached behind him and pulled his hood over his head. He didn't like getting wet.

Axel walked on and stopped at a bar. Someone was singing. Axel opened the door, a little chime was heard but no one paid any attention to it. Axel didn't care, he walked over to a small table near the karaoke singer and sat down.

Axel was astonished. This song, it was as if it was about his entire life. Everything he had felt, everything he had did, everything. Axel didn't know how this woman came up with a song like this, he had to ask her, he had to find out who she was, he had to know.

Axel rose to the table and began to walk towards the table where the woman was sitting.


[OOC: The song she was singing is called "Where will you go?" by Evanescence. I, myself was shocked at how much it described Axel's feelings. I did not plan to have this song in, and I am truly bewildered at its relevance to Axel.]

Checking his watch he was astonihed that it was nearly half past twelve, 'Since when does subway stay open all night?' he asked himself confusedly. Tobias noticed at the nearest bus stop that it said 'All services stop between 12pm and 4am, cursing he began his long walk home to the other side of town. It was decided by him that he would got through the one area in town that never closed, the bar and kareoke strip down main street, sure he'd probably be accosted by some 'interesting' individuals but surely it would be safer near others with a madman on a killing spree loose.

"I'm supposedly headed home, but my car's getting towed and it looks like all the bus lines are closed," Kylie responded. "So in other words, I'm basically a hobo for the night. How 'bout you?" She glanced around at the melee of people milling around still, despite the late hour. "Good luck to you if you're wanting to get anywhere fast."

Viveca saw the strange creature prance out the window, and couldn't take it any more. Her hand raised to her chest, and she clutched her left breath and began to pant.

She collapsed to her knees, her breath rasping against her throat. The world was spinning... things were getting darker...
