I just got my second crystal and second lights...

Now i have a question...
Those that have listed, Screen Shot, ect... both of there sets of directories (old & new) have you alined the symbols up? If so how many symbols lined up?

I got 4 that lined up...
1 on first, 1 on second 3 on third...

Ok: the substraction theory's been out for a bit now (get new colors from substracting UC2 from UC1).

Me, I tried it with 8 different orderings (all permutations of RBY, plus tablet order, and .... I forget). No good.

I have to conclude that as beautiful as it is, it's not where it's at. The scrolls you get from substracting MAY be correct, but all 4 players got the new message in the "middle" of reading them. (?) Very untidy.

4 players is too few. This reminds me of the ratio of people finding their statue by accident. :/

has anyone tried doing anything with the symbols on the wall this time tround? that have to be there for a reason

I FINALLY GOT SPIKED. GOT MY CRYSTAL . i clicked a door with a symbol that i do not have on my tablet

Okay I just tried this and nothing, but I do have to confirm that there are only one of each of these scrolls in each room.

The scariest thing about this excercise in futility was how darn fast I can get around the scroll repository now. I mean how sad is it that I look at a list calling for Underwater Basketweaving and I think to myself, "I know right where that is! ".

In the room with the light, where you get your crystal pattern/sequence.

There's a bunch of symbols on the back wall.

Hmm, i'd stick to the catalogues only because they changed for a reason...

So many things have been tried, I don't know if this has been attempted before or not. I matched the first set of lights to my tablet, got message, found trap, got second crystal, got second lights.

Then I matched the second set of lights to my tablet. I noticed that there were four symbols which had the same color in both sets of lights. I thought they must be 4 colors on one crystal that matched "blanks" on the other crystal (though, coincidentally or not, all 4 were either red, yellow, or blue--there were none of the colors that showed up for the first time on the second light set), until I noticed there were also some symbols that were blanks in both light sets. So the symbols whose colors didn't change either matched blanks, or they were the same on each tablet. (In other words, "blue + zero = blue," but also "blue + blue = blue.")

Anyway, I took the four symbols that had the same color no matter which light set I used, looked them up in the new "Wet Paint" card catalog, and had my pet read them in card catalog order (taking the card catalogs from left to right, since the second crystal doesn't give a card catalog color sequence).

No result.

On a positive note, I also accidentally created this cool picture of the second set of lights.

Okay I have an idea if anyone wants to try it. It may be quick since you may not find what you need and then it would be wrong but here it is.

Put your new colors on the tablet including blanks.

Put 4 symbols in tablet order (ignore the blanks) onto each of the catalog pages in the order your catalog appears. So now you have 4 symbols on each of the 3 catalogs.

Read the scroll color from the tablet, but in the order of the card catalogs. I would try, but it's too late here now and I've been through about 4 theories today so I'm wiped out.

Good luck if anyone wants to try it.

I suggested this as one of three variations last nite, but I admit I had so much real life to do today I haven't gotten around to my own theory. Reading the posts of all the various theroies is a challenge for me -- lol. If anyone has disproven this theory already, please let us know if you're there.

I know what you mean! Sometimes I read the posts and I just feel my head swimming trying to concentrate on what is being said.

i dont spose anyone has a list of what has been tried? if my lights come on at the same time as before then i should only have an hourish before i can start testing now. i need summat to do to keep awake for the next 3 hrs lol.

would anyone be willing to help me out with mapping my scrolls? I still haven't gotten the sharp eye quote....I've tried (and failed) four times now to get it....and don't know what I'm doing wrong!!!! PLEASE help!!!!
I have to wait until 1 tomorrow to get a screen shot of the colors in my temple, so I'm going to post everything then........
