Let's clear one thing up: paper mache is paper dipped in glue and layered to create a hardened paper shell. Origami is just folded paper.

They are definately more origami than mache, but the pink one doesn't seem to be either...just some cardboard or construction paper cut up and glued into shape.

This really does get unfair - Neopets keeps saying it'll give the older players something for sticking with them for so long, then everything new and cool ends up being released in the newbie packs. Could anyone dig out the editorials where the issue has been raised and answered/evaded?

Silly Ledi! You should know by now that TNT doesn't run on the same time-frame as the rest of us! "Shortly" in TNT-speak could mean anywhere from a month or two to a year or more!

I'm starting to believe neopets HQ is located in some sort of otherworldly dimension, a sort of fairytale storybook faerie kingdom if you will, that you hear about in which unwary travellers stumble into or are tricked into visiting by capricious spirits. They stay for an hour or so, perhaps have a cup of tea, take a tour of the castle, or just take a nap under that lovely tree, and eventually when they leave back to their own world, they find that 300 years have passed.

That is the land in which TNT inhabits.

Either that or they get abducted by aliens on a regular basis.

I'm at 63 months. I started when all the newbie consisted of was 1 or two cheap toys, an apple and another cheap food. I suppose I'll make myself a spare account so I can get the special stuff. I need one anyways because if I lab something really good I'll want to keep it, but get a new lab pet.

Edit: I checked my spare account that I've had for a while, but never got the newbie pack. I got the white and pink petpets... just one of these days...

Nope, I just created a new account, and the petpets I got (orange and green) clearly said "No Trades" under their graphic, so for now, like the starter pbs, it seems they are not profitable.

Oh well. Now I have an extra, pointless account. I was hoping for the cute cream-colored one!

But on the bright side, these things are bound to be cheap now that any new account can get one.

I wonder if their idea of a 'board for older accounts' is that one "charter members" board on the premium boards, which did appear shortly after the maraqua plot. Be nice to see one on the open forums, too.
