Yesterday, 12.03.06:

Nothing looks different about Dragona's Socks but you can sense something happened. It becomes evident later when it tries to climb a tree but breaks off the branch instead. The ray has increased its level to: 7

Today, 12.04.06:

Dragona's Socks shall now be known as So-and-so. How nice.

Hmm - I had thought today was my one month anniversary of pile of sootiness. Turns out it was yesterday.

Yep. One. Whole. Month. of. Soot.

Yay.

Decided to go with the reattach the petpet idea (thanks). Can't hurt can it? Oh, and his name is Re1337 (the ray named him 1337, so I added the re, as in named again.

But... nothing happens. It makes a kind of 'zzrrrppptttt' sound before shutting down completely. The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something.

Well didn't hurt (other than emotionally)...

Your eyes recover quite quickly after the giant explosion, but that's more than you can say for your Petpet. The Kookith is kind enough to sweep up Tumbles for you and you head home.

Hmm, so he turned soot into soot... :roll:

Yep, zzrrrppptttt'd again. At least I was getting name changes and level ups/downs before.

(although I suppose it could zap him into nothingness tomorrow - and I'm kinda expecting that soon!)

Your fears that the Kookith didn't actually know what the heck he was doing are confirmed when Snarkie suddenly disappears, leaving no trace.

None. Nada. Zip. Ziltch.

Guess it's time to buy a new Petpet.
