I'm going to ignore all of the bad points of that news, mainly because I only really go on Neopets for the plots these days. Instead, I'm going to pay attention the fact that the article says THE ALTADOR CUP STARTS TODAY!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! *grabs her...Yooyu-catching thing...and runs out of the forum*

I picked a great week to finally quit Neopets. Neopets is going straight to the kids, and I'm glad I got out of there. Let them do what they want, it's their site. If they want to hire more support staff to help keep control, let them. They're gonna need it.

Apparently Neopets thinks the majority of the users are US teens who like fwuffyness.
That's fine by me, as long as they keep on releasing new plots and content for the older players (note that with older I'm not referring to real age, just neopian age :P). I've seen a lack of avatars and new games lately, and an increase of neogreetings, and that worries me a bit.
But I'm sure they don't want to alienate all of their old faithful players, right?

Me too.
Haha. I'm already boycotting ME TV (for reasons that are private), I'll just boycott all of Nick.

...except for Spongebob and Ned's Declassified. o_o;;

They've had ads on Nick's site forever, it really doesn't surprise me.

Nickelodeon did what now?

*Disclaimer; This is my way of saying. "...Yay?" This won't affect me at all. more kids? Woo, means there are more people to be ignored by my block all neomail clause, doesn't it.
I don't restock, I can't play games, I'm here for the plots and to finish my gallery.
That's it, Nickelodeon won't change that.

Well I just REALLY hope this will only be and added extra thing that will give the kiddies something to watch and not have a great effect on the rest of the site. That is, I hope it doesn't have plot clues/story and stuff like that in it. Because I am absolutely NOT going to watch that dribble, even if they put it on the site so I can. I come on Neo to relax and have fun, not to have little kid stuff shoved down my throat.

But, considering the recent shoving down our throat-ness of neovision, I don't have much hope for that. :(

Someone please kill me.

I'm only there for Neohomes..

Adam, Donna - why did you sell Neopets? Why? You've ruined it. No more fun avatars, the plots? I have no intrest in the new one and didn't even know they were having it for a while... the new plots are plentiful but there are so many I can't keep up..no cool new colors, just stupid fill-ins.. all the quests aren't fun anymore, you cant get anything cool from them, games are unoriginal and boring.. man.. Neopets is really selling out. I never use that term because its so harsh and stupid sounding, but its true in this cash. Promotion promotion promotion and money. That is the new Neopets.

Edit: Look, just talking about Neopets made me say "cash" instead of "case".

I'll check it out for a good laugh. Nick hasn't had good stuff on for a while now. Gone are the days of Rocko's Modern Life.

You've gotta be kidding me. Someone just zap me. NOW. The only reason that I go on there is cause my friend goes on there and we like chatting over neomail. That and I can occasionally find a good roleplay. Other than that, no. Great. The only entertaining website is exploding in our faces. I mean, I myself am a tween, but stuff like this isn't exactly "Cool" in out book. I mean, cartoons?

Lol, I never would have guessed. The Neoboards are downright scene nowadays.

Hey... don't go trashing good cartoons. Some of us are much older than being a teen or a tween and enjoy them a lot. :) (I personally love Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.)

I enjoy Foster's, Fairly Odd Parents, and the early Spongebob episodes, but the height of cartoon awesomeness is long passed. :(

There are some other quality shows on there: Avatar and... I can't think of any others.

I've decided that Viacom ruins everything they touch. They destroyed MTV, they're ruining Nickelodeon, and now they're going to overexpose Neopets.

I concur with the part about MTV...it's called MTV because it's supposed to be a MUSIC channel! There's no music anywhere on it now.

Maybe CBS will buy out Viacom again, and then maybe something sensible will happen on those networks...

CBS and Viacom are both owned and controlled by National Amusements, which also owns and controls Midway Games.

I work for a CBS station in Miami... I had to go through the whole "history".

So in a way, CBS will never own Viacom, and Viacom will never again own CBS... the two are connected at the... brain?

It's a dumb situation. But it means I get some rockin' discounts...
