Altador Cup III (2008) - Split 1

I played a game wondering if I'd got it wrong that it started Tuesday... I'm not too hot on dates! (which is an unfortunate quality in a history postgrad!) I'm kicking myself for not checking before submitting, especially as I was still wondering enough to check afterwards.

I'm assuming maybe quite a few people will be in my boat though... technically I have 'exploited a glitch', but I haven't played game after game or anything. Oh well, time will tell.

There is minor-mass-panic happening on both the Altador Cup III and Avatar neoboards. There's claims that some people who got the avvie already has been frozen.

I would definitely advise AGAINST sending any scores. Even if it is a glitch, since it's known, it's probably going to be considered abusing it if you send a whole bunch of scores.

ginernut, I doubt if you sent one or two on accident, that you'll get in trouble.

Probably couldn't hurt, especially if you've only sent one or two scores. Then it's obvious that you're not abusing it, as you've quit sending and reported it as soon as you noticed it. (at least, that's what makes sense to me)

Yeah; I just played 6 games before realizing that there was a glitch. I thought today was the 17th for a bit. I'm hoping they don't freeze, even if I don't see that really happening. I think they'll probably just wipe today's scores from the system.

It seems that TNT are working on the glitch at the moment. On the Spanish speaking boards, a mod basically stated that the games played today will not count.

Looking forward to tomorrow, I'm planning on getting in a good few games since it's a big one for Shenkuu. Unfortunately I won't be around much when we take on Darigan Citadel the day after.

Is it just me, or are there practically NO Faerie, Darigan, Mutant, or Clockwork Yooyus? I've seen only one of each so far, except for Mutant, which I haven't seen at all.

Also, I hate hate HATE the ice ones.

What kind of scores are you getting at the moment? Another board was speculating that you don't get many that aren't Normal, Fire or Ice until you've reached five goals.

I'm with you on hating Ice! I can spend the entire game trying to knock one of those in. I even prefer Darigan!

That sounds like it might be the case, because I'm having a tough time scoring more than 3-4 points a game. Most of the time it's 1 or 2. Not trying to make excuses, but the game just...handles funny, to me. It seems easier to lose control of the ball and harder to aim it properly.

Altador Cup - Due to some temporary technical problems the Altador Cup went live today by accident. In order to make sure the games kick off as planned we have erased the scores that were earned from playing the game this morning. Thanks to those of you that held off from playing. Does anyone know where I can get pictures of the old kiko lake team? I thought of something kind of funny I'd like to write about them and draw a picture. Also lots of various pictures of the Yurble Janitor would be good too, since I want to draw him having to clean up after the cup all by himself and having really worked himself up into a frenzied foul mood.

good thing they erased the scores. I felt so behind not playing at all and other people sending their scores, but I was careful.
