and i'm going to save my amulet, just in case it's supposed to be put somewhere

I tried until 5 a.m. my time last night and gave up, but the "++|++U| then blind random flipping" method worked for me this morning.

Yep, that's exactly what happened to me. I tried many times to do it logically, trying every permutation, didn't work. This morning I reset tried throwing switches quite at random and got it in 10 minutes. :x

Waterworks rule of thumb:The more systematically you try to do it, the longer it'll take you. Just do it randomly!

I have found that going back to the Archivist, helps. As you must visit him after every constellation to be able to move on.

You know everytime you try a new variation on the watervalves and such, do you need to reset the system? Or do you carry on going randomly and blindly until your fingers burn up and you start cursing neopets again

Look for the middle star on the amulet and note down the co-ords. Take away 130 from the number on the left and add 90 to the number on the right and that should tell you the co-ord of the lone star.

Do we have any theories on whether it matters which statue we leave the amulet on? Or even what the point is in putting the amulet on a statue at all?

Well this should split soon, but I've got 2 things to say:

About the water company. Do not try systematically, just click around. The problem with systematically is that you wrongly assume that ++ ++D UUU will always equal ++ ++D UUU for you. But it may not. The pictures change based on the order you click, I fooled around more with the levers than the knobs and I got it.

Second thing....anyone know why I cant get the star_data page to work?

How can we do anything with the amulet? Isnt it the same as the cup from the punch club?

Hmm, it was working for me last night. Does refreshing/trying to load in a different browser work?

It worked for me a couple of hours ago. Maybe there are more people online now and Neo is being slow?

...Great, I noticed...pressing "Submit Stars" is harder than the water flood thing and finding it...it seems that I can't submit them and I can't load the telescope...is it only me? I cleared the cache.

Well you can place the amulet around the neck of any of the statues but when you leave the hall and return the amulet is no longer there, but you can still place it on a statue, etc. There surely must be a reason for this?
