Now, as Steven single-handedly tries to steer the conversation away from alcohol to the OTHER national beverage, I give you:

The single reason Crispy Cream is DOWNSIZING in Canada.

The meeting place for all races, classes and peoples.

A place named after a womanizing hockey player who died while driving his car too fast (which makes him a hero, nay, a martyr in Canada):

The one and only (unless you look down the street)

TIM HORTONS!

Crispy Creme never made it to Edmonton; they got hung up in Calgary.
Too expensive too! I mean 6 donuts for 8 bucks at Walmart (I am not joking you, they sell Crispy Cremes at the Walmart in Red Deer, Alta!). It's just disgusting.

Our department is doing a major production of a play called Halo that's become a bit of a cult classic recently. Its based on a true story of when people thought they saw the Virgin Mary appear at a Tim Horton's in Cape Breton.

Hey, maybe if we just turn Tim Horton's into the official chruch of Canada we can kill two birds with one stone! Plus, for communion we can have the choice between glazed or cream filled.

Mm...Tim Hortons is the awesome. It was really the only thing that kept me going on my band trip thing.

Krispy Kreme never made it here either; there's one faraway in Delta/Surrey/Whaley (the small parts of Vancouver that are too small and close to differentiate), but I rarely hear about it.

Happy Canada Day! I'm not Canadian, but I've considered moving there when I'm older! Canada is awesome! I have a friend who's father is Canadian, Colin Mochrie is my favorite improv actor, Alex Trebek is Canadian, and Jim Carrey is Canadian. Those are a few reasons why Canada rocks. Not only that, Canadian money is so cool! I have a loonie, and it's my good luck charm. Toonies look absolutely awesome, and the cash is so colorful! People say Canada is too cold, but I say to them, "Then get a parka and join the fun!" I absolutely love living in Chicago, but if I had to pick any other place to live, Canada would be it.

So to sum up,
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
Today (if you guys let me) I'm Canadian too!
Stay awesome, Canada, you rock!
