I went into the pyramid (or temple) before getting some furniture- now I can't get out. Should I just wait half an hour, and then try to grab some furniture?

You can get out by going to the entrance square and there's a button below the pic that says exit repository.

I suspect that when you see all the furnature sticking that will mean we are running out. Anyone know how much was finally made?

It doesn't matter, if you check the Ruki page they are making more to compensate for the theft.

Has anybody been able to clean up chalk lines on their way out? Somebody mentioned that you could pick one to do on your way out, but I haven't had any luck trying.

I've been able to do one, after I've placed my piece.

Yes, I've been able to do one on each trip out. You have to double click very quickly. If a spot doesn't seem to work, try another. Sometimes it takes me a few tries to get it to work, but I've been able to do it once every time.

I thought the lockout time was supposed to be 30 minutes? I been able to place 4 pieces of furniture consecutively now. Is there even a lockout time?

If read properly the summary reads that the lockout only applies if you make a mistake.
