Giving my first pet (a peophin) a name I'd always wanted to use for a story-character. I could never seem to fit the name in to my stories, though I thought it was exceptionally beautiful...to this day I still haven't used it for anything other than a Neopet.

Playing Scorchy Slots for hours and hours (and hours) on end.

Being broke after the purchase of my first petpet (a doglefox).

Playing Kacheek Seek and feeling all proud because I knew someone who'd contributed one of the puzzles (the puzzle's long gone, but the account's still active...I should neomail her and see if she remembers me XD)..

I also remember when paint brushes were common REs. I got at least four that way. ~:>

And yes, I still remember when Macy Gray was a pet. I was shocked and appalled. :P

I remember spending a long time just deciding what pet I wanted, and an even longer time thinking up a name. (And still doing an awful job.) I still have my first pet on my main account - don't think I can get rid of any of them no matter how ugly the names are.

I also remember getting a Blue Aisha plushie, a copy of The Magic Paw, and a mint chocolate coated candy bar (which I promptly fed to my Acara) in a newbie pack. None of these cute cardboard petpets and starter brushes you kids get today. *waves cane*

Ah, yes, one more - I also remember thinking for some reason that I had to buy every item that the pet wanted on its default web page. Fortunately I found out that the Acara Battledome items were useless before buying them. :P

Lol me exactly! I bought duplicates of my newbie pack (all the items you said, plus a wooden blocking shield) and they're now in my gallery. I had an acara too... and I thought that baby paint brushes could paint any colour lol. Plus, when I bought a purple acara balloon, I gave it to my acara... and she hated it

It's fun reading all yeh memories :D

I remember going to the pound to adopt my first pet because I liked the adoption bruces tattered bow and thought I could adopt one like it

What I wound up with was a Usul who is still with me three years later.

I can also remember not knowing about user shops and buying everything from the main ones. I wasted alot of NP in the beginning :P

Noticing that I had just missed a plot, then going to the money tree and actually getting stuff. o_O

I have missed every plot since for some reason...except Altador...maybe that's why there are no prizes...

I remember buying a studded collar thinking my eyrie could actually wear it. XD

I remember getting my newbie pack and seeing (rare) under my Blue Ixi Plushie and thinking that things in the newbie pack were random, and that I had gotten something actually rare, and quite possibly valuable.

I also distinctly recall thinking "I'm not gonna really get into this. I'm just gonna play a little bit when I'm bored. I'm not going to become obsessed." :roflol:

I got some neopoints from the Money Tree, and then played a couple games, then explored a bit. Did the wheel of excitement like 5 times until I realized there was a 2 hour limit. Then spending forever trying to figure out my Neopian Address and other stuff for my bank account.

I remember seeing that

"Do you have your activation code" at the top of all the pages

My computer used to be really slow and so when it was loading a game it took it ages for the text "Game Loading" to come up so I thought that animation/picture was the game and not the loading part! :roflol:

I also remeber thinking, Wow, I will never get bored.

Ahh, the good old days...

I remember thinking that the Wooden Blocking Shield was a good item and putting it in my shop saying that even though it was expensive (1000np) it was good stuff.

Good ol' times.

Me? :D

Each item in the Snow Faerie quests seldom cost over 100np.

Having 100K automatically made you wealthy.
We were that poor way back when. XD
