I haven't donated blood.Yet. But my brother has in his High School because he wants to save somebody one day.

I s'pose other conditions don't hurt your blood that much, plus they're desperate for blood, so they'll take what they can get.

No. I don't mean to sound greedy, but I don't want to/don't plan to ever give blood. For one, I hate needles. The main reason though is that once when I was getting a simple blood TEST, I passed out. The nurse kept filling up more tubes though - there were at least five!

I have! I did for the first time a few weeks ago, actually. The real reason I did it was to get extra points in chemistry, but it was fine. I was afraid of doing it but it really wasn't bad. It didn't hurt, and I didn't pass out or feel weird. The anticipation and dread of doing it was a lot worse than the actual procedure. After I finished I hopped up off the table, grabbed a drink and went home. No problems at all. I'm definitely going to do it again, and I won't need an incentive (extra credit) again.

I've donated blood once...never again...ugh...I hate needles.

No, every time it came up in school/college, I had just gotten a piercing or tattoo, and it's supposed to be a year wait after any of those things. And since then, I've pretty much forgotten about it. Maybe next time I see a blood drive I'll go.

my first original set!

I used to donate blood but since I've gone to several countries the US has put me on the waiting list. Lol! Afraid I might have malaria even though I took lots of pills to prevent it. But yeah once I'm able to I will again. Every 54 days if I remember correctly. Two months basically. I hope to donate plasma too but that's time consuming compared to blood.

I don't think that would be a good idea seeing how I have too much iron and not enough magnesium.
Like.. really not enough magnesium, it's a health problem. I'm getting migraines, insomnia, twitches and bla bla bla out of that. I don't think I should spread my health problems around the world. xD

I am not allowed to give blood. I am anemic with a B12 defincy. My blood would be completely useless and have to be thrown out.

and no, eating more iron isnt going to help my case. I am an extreme anemic. It will most likely never get better.
