anyway would it be possible to state the newest find in the title to save people constantly checking the first post? Yeah I'm lazy, and it takes quite a bit of time to keep checking this constantly but hopefully it's not too much hassle for the mods

About the astrolabe in the SBD:
I really dont think an item that is "No Trade" can be stolen. The useless crystal in the last plot was no trade, because it was required for the plot. If it had gotten stolen, that user could not complete the plot. TNT tries to keep things remotely fair, and that would put someone at a HUGE disadvantage.
On that note, I dont believe the astrolabe can be stolen, which to me, that logically means that the astroblabe will be required for this plot. Of course, I cant say for a fact that it cannot be stolen, but I would imagine that there will be a time to use it, and that it probably needs to be IN your inventory to use it.

In fact, some people HAD their badge stolen (few splits ago, when they first got it), but I dont think anybody had their astrolabe stolen (everybody seem to fear it, so they keep it in SDB) But, as both of them are no trade, I dont think it's 100% safe to keep it only in inventory (I, at least, will keep it in SDB until someone tells me I need it elsewhere
Ego est imperare orbi universo
as far as i can remember, some people did get their useless crystal stolen in the LDP.... however if that happened to you, all you had to to was see the janitor again, and he gave you another one, and it was exactly the same as the one that got stolen! i.e if you had the 3rd crystal thats waht he gave you!
anyway on topic... anyone have an idea as to where we will find the thief's constellation??

I've got firefox, and what happens for me is:
If I click on the picture, it tabs through fine, goes from quarry straight to docks
If I don't click on the picture, it goes: link to us- blank- blank- send feedback.
Not sure what's different in IE, but firefox has two blanks as well so it's not just IE

Maybe the thief will steal something from the archivist...?

I have firefox but don't have any extra links between link to us and feedback. However I do notice that the address and the scroll bar are part of the tab list. Try using the arrow keys when you are in the blank space and see if your cursor or screen moves in these areas. I would certainly like to know if some people are activating some hidden link that could eventually be opened.

OK. I'm going out on a limb here, but-
perhaps the thief has stolen the use of the keyboard on flash games?
They don't work on any games for me, except meerca chase (one). perhaps it still works for that because it's an old game that isn't offically on the list anymore. Anyone know other old games we could use to check this?
And, if this is the case, where would we go from here?
And yes, I know that this is probably an extremely stupid theory, but it's all I can think of at the moment.

I've been wondering that too and checked to see if everything appears to be in the archivist's office. As far as I can tell it's all there but I don't have a before picture to compare it too and the place is rather messy so I doubt it would be something obvious. Or I could've missed it. Then again maybe we have to find a dagger of some sorts.

Well, I've been able to use keyboard in flash games, what browser are you using?

Many walkthroughs have early pictures. This one is robust http://www.neopets.com/~Shabina#altadorarchives With early pictures from neopets (pre rock) http://images.neopets.com/altador/archives/archives_office.gif and capturedhttp://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/Jibbles95163/examinebook.jpg
EDIT: However I don't see any changes with the current picture.

I was having problems with the keyboard, myself.
Playing typing terror (which is a very keyboard-intensive game) it wouldn't let me hit *space* to continue to the next level.
I'm glad it's not just me - I thought my space bar was broken :P
