All you have to do to get the sidebar is visit the advent calender from dec 1 to Jan 1

I don't think that's confirmed at all. I don't remember visiting the advent calendar on January 1st, because I knew it would be over, and I still received the sidebar. I think the means of getting the sidebar are still unknown.

Yeah that would be awesome Rakumel! And then wouldn't it be neat if they added to the pet's lookup, so anyone could see what your pet is wearing, even though it wasn't actually on the picture. Like it the stats, it said Wearing: Twisted Roses Hat or whatever.

Anyway, I'm hoping for some neat plushies, and some other random stuff that, while probably mostly useless, is cool or amusing in some way, so I can hold onto it, cuz I like collecting random junk. I would like mostly non-Christmassy items. Cuz I think that stuff is mostly pointless the rest of the year. XD

What I wish they would do (but I know they won't) is finally release the fire ryte or whatever it is and give some out as advent calendar prizes! I want one really bad, and I'm tired of it tormenting me from Itchy Invasion game.

This will be my first neopets Christmas, so I'm looking forward to getting free stuff, no matter what it is! ^_^

To add: I got my sidebar on Dec. 31st with the last Advent Prize, and it was my first half-year on the site, so I hadn't even been around the previous January. I'm not sure what you mean by Jan. 1st otherwise, because the calendar doesn't run outside of December.

I thought paranoiapenguin meant that you had to visit the Advent Calendar the day after it ended (which is January 1st), which wouldn't affect the sidebar as you received the sidebar on December 31st.

I agree. I love going there and seeing just what they have. I love the graphics too. Last year their animation was tied so sweetly to the items they gave out. I can't wait until this year's Advent Calendar. I am like a little kid when it comes to the Advent Calendar. I love it so much that I have an Advent Calendar gallery.

There is currently no proven theory of obtaining the winter sidebar.
