As far as I can remember, only the last plot had a limit, and it stopped you from fighting the opponent altogether. So there shouldn't be anything to worry about untill you're stopped. (Of course, knowing TNT they've changed it this time)
That is sort of right. Only the last plot had a win limit, but we didn't have any prior knowledge of it. You could keep fighting the opponents.
It was only when TNT scored the battledome, that they had put a 'Win Limit' on the opponents. This mean anyone that went over the limit, didn't get any additional points. I went over the limit on many of them.
It is a gamble you take with the plot. You have to decide how much you want to do it or at least how much your pet can take.

Stuck :(
Any thoughts anyone. I seem to have hit a dead end.

I got up to 75 wins last night (that puts him right over the 125 boast). I was having to hit him twice, but still not too bad. I might try for more tonight, we'll see. It would be nice to at least get to the even 100. Probably could do more than that if I really wanted, but meh. The win limit could be pretty low, who knows?
Glad that Tuesday night I invested in buying a Golden Compass...I got a decent price on it (okay, it was seriously time to get at least *one* 9-icon weapon for my battle pet, but it's still amusing to me that I managed to buy it the night before the first 'battle' came about).
Just as a quick reminder (in case you didn't know), but One-players *can* re-use one-use items (unless they finally fixed this, which I don't believe they have).

Yea, that was *very* amusing
As long as you survive the first few turns, your opponent practically turns into a 'punchbag bug'

Woot! My little Rei totally pwn't the bug... for 50 battles. XD
I think I gotta stop now though, because 1 I'm dead tired, and 2 he's starting to do some substantial damage to my measly 32 hit points. I could probably last quite a bit longer if I shelled out for some bottled faeries to get burrow... but yeah, I'm too tired. Maybe if he's still available when I wake up.
I want to battle as much as I can in the beginning, because soon it'll get too hard for me, so I gotta get points while I can.
I told myself I'd be ready for battling by the next plot, but I didn't know the plot was gonna start so soon!
