It's just getting worse, so since the NP angle is against the rules, probably you should write your friend off. He's changed species anyway, and obviously the other person will care for him since the person has spent so much NP on him. So maybe you should adopt a clone of your dear pet and raise it up well.

Im glad you got your account back... I just wish they would give me mine back.... someone hacked into mine while i was asleep or at work and when i got home they had frozen my account and said i was cheating. I contacted them and was very polite about it but they said unless i could show how much i had exactly in the bank and on me just before they froze the account there would be a very remote chance i could get my account back. I told them what i had but they said the amounts i listed werent accurate. i found all pets and petpets had been given out and so did all my paintbrushes and equipment and all the cool stuff i had in my neohome and shop..... I wish there was a way to protect ourselves from identity theft on neopets...

After reading about this yesterday, I was thinking about the security issue. Would it be so hard to issue a Serial Number (for lack of a better term) with each account and/or pet created? This would be emailed to you - it would be up to you to protect this information in case your account was ever broken into. It would ONLY be used as a way to verify ownership of an account or pet (not sure if that one would work as pets are swapped alot). So, you get this SN emailed when you create the account, print it out and tape it to the underside of a bureau drawer or someplace safe and delete the email. I guess your house could burn down but hey, ya gotta start somewhere...

but fat lot of good that does now though...dont get me wrong im not being nasty to you its just i worked real hard for the past two years and i just got over the 250mil mark and then this happens... I am sooooo frustrated its beyaond belief.... i didnt know if i should shout or cry.... or just do what i did and throw something to calm down and then contact TNT...hope whoever did this is enjoying themselves.... like they say what goes around comes around. so i hope they get theres 10 forld. yeah something like that would help. but i was thinking more in the lines of maybe a id tag put on all of our pets and petpets and if and when we ever decided to trade or sell them then whomever bought it would have to apply for a new tag. i thought maybe if we could do it like we do with real animals why not our pets and petpets... i was also thinking that maybe we could have a password generator that randomly has us change our pw's on a different day each week. that way each time its different. and once we use a pw we can never use it again.

Different password every week? Not likely:P I can barely keep track of all my passwords as it is. The pin is a good addition and should be pretty well sufficient to keep your stuff safe in the event that someone gets a hold of your password.

i was using a pin and im still frozen and my stuff is still gone unless this is a very bad dream....oh wait then it must be a group dream cause im not the only one who was using the pin that got hacked and frozen.

Are you sure someone else was in your account? If all they told you was that you were frozen for cheating, it's possible you were hit for something you didn't realize was against the rules.

here is the thing the time that they said i was cheating i was at work. what i cant seem to figure out is if i was at work and my kid was in school then a ghost or my cat has figured out how to turn on my computer and log on and use the key board. because my system is heavely pw restricted. i just have no control over the neopets site to make it as restricted as i would like.

Only reason I ask is you said you averaged 350k/day which seems like a pretty high number to earn without involving any at least semi-questionable practices.
